I left Sunday for Robbinsville and stayed until this morning. My tires have about 2500 miles on them and one little baby burnout in my driveway. So during a fill up about three hours from my house I notice that my tires have some small cracks going horizonally across the center of the tire. I'm not so worried until I move the bike to the front of the store to go pay and I look again and I see thread showing! I had been cooking the sides on the dragon and have tons of rubber on my undertail to prove it, but I can't for the life of me figure out why my tires are fried w/ 2500 miles on them. Anyway I nurse the tire a little further and get close enough to call the dealer where I bought the bike. I talk to parts and the guy is really nice and helpful, also chatting about the Uly they have, new long and all kinds of banter I usually don't get at their shop, so I'm feeling good. Then I talk to service, again, very helpful, I tell the girl that it is a little bit of an emergency and I'm worried I might not make it the last 2 hours to my house. She immediately asks if I've been on a trip and I say yes and we're off. She says how they will definately be able to get me in since I've been on a trip and they will make sure that I get home. I'm ecstatic, then she transfers me to the service manager who immediately tells me I will have to wait until Saturday and that he can't understand why my tires are shot at 2500 miles. Even calls me a "burnout king" and says some stuff about bad behavior and tearing the bike up all things that made me sound like a 17 year old with a 'busa. After all the good help I had received from everyone else this guy just tells me that I'm going to have to wait until Sat, no exceptions. Had a heck of a time at the Dragon, met an expectant Uly father down there, he should be visiting us on the web soon. Lots of good people there, and I'll definately be back.

If we are talking Dunlops I couldn't get either of my first two rear tires to get past 2k miles.
NO burn outs or such at ALL. The Dunlops are WELL known for high wear. If you got 2500 miles you did good.
That Service Manager needs to learn a thing or two about the business he's in before opening his mouth and inserting his foot.
