Check with Buell direct. I got this same runaround with Eastgate Buell here in Cincinnati on the shock recall, and it turns out they had never even ordered it. And this was after many many calls and a variety of other epic screwups. The only problems I ever had with Buell replacement parts had NOTHING to do with Buell  (except who they allow to put that blue sign up). Or call Modesto, or sport twin (immediately to your left) for a second opinion. | ||

Buellfuel, Go to Hal's in NewBerlin. Yes, Wisc H-D might be dealing with Buells now, but they are related to Hal's, and the Hal's staff has been dealing with Buells much longer than the Wisc. staff has. They are being very proactive to resolve issues these days, and that is a good thing. Also, I think I saw an S1 tank for sale yesterday out at Sauk H-D/Buell on their sale table, Tat or someone might have bought it though. MikeJ (might be picking up my S2 today, yippee) | ||

Peter, I'll see if I can get someone with a dig camera to post a pic or three. I'm off to "The big ride" in a few minutes on the S2, Erik wants to get as many Buells together as possible to ride from Oconomowoc to the Pilgrim road plant. Hmmm, I wonder if it will be a somewhat spirited ride????? | ||

AHHHHHH! I give up! I ordered my replacement tank for my '97 S1 back in July...Wis. H-D/Buell called me last week (October!) and the tank is in. Only problem is...THEY WON'T RELEASE IT TO ME? I sold the bike to a Dude in New York in August. They will only release it to him...AFTER he turns in the old tank. WHAT? "Cory" at (Wis.H-D/Buell Service)told me her only option was to send the tank back to Buell factory. NOOOOOO! I can't believe Erik Buell intended it to be so hard to own a Buell. Don't any Buell V.P.'s read this board? I would. Stay tuned....this is not over! |
