8 weeks for bag latches is NOT reasonable. 2 weeks (and counting) for an airbox cover is NOT reasonable. Multi-Month wait for new lower fairings is NOT reasonable. I love my Buell but parts availability is F'ing ridiculous. I don't know where BMC is getting this "All parts shipped within 24 hours for the past 8 months" crap but I STRENOUSLY suggest that they ***PUT DOWN THE CRACK PIPE***! I know they are in ramp up for the new models and all, but how many of the new models do they really think they are going to sell if they won't service the ones they have already sold??? | ||

Don, I will e-mail you directly. Yes, I want it. Thank you! Court, I have the bag latches repaired now, but my dealer (Deluxe HD and Buell of Casper) waited just a shade over 8 weeks for a single new latch! Thanks for your offer of parts, but I've got it straightened out now...at least as good as it's gonna get I guess. The left side (as you sit the bike) pack still has troubles, but I am getting used to it. By troubles I mean the alignment between the cover and the 'body' is poor and sometimes when you go to close it it bumps the latch 'hooks' and the latch thinks the cover is shut even though it is not. A minor annoyance, but one I wish didn't exist. Thanks to you both for jumping right in. I didn't realize how virulent my last post sounded until I re-read it just now! I love my Buell, I think I am going to go ride now! Dark_Ninja |
