No.

My only concern, in this case, was to make certain your letter got to Customer Service, which it had not.

Ride safe,

Heather:

Excellent.

That is the procedure. Under the terms of the agreement, Treve Deeley, Ltd handles all CS issues. When a letter is received, it is immediately forwarded to Deeley, the Canadian agent.

That's why the CS folks in Milwaukee had not seen yours.

Glad we got you hooked up!

Ride safe,
Court

In the "For The Factory" area I posted a few weeks ago about some less than satisfactory CS experiences. Court suggested I write a letter but I just decided to let it drop. Too many other things going on and I'm trying to reduce stress.

Well, this morning I called up CS again for one of those same issues (the Blast recall). I got who I THINK was the same person on the phone that gave me difficulties the last couple of calls. I just asked for John (sorry I don't have your last name handy). After the third degree (not number or subject of questions but rather TONE of voice), I was handed off to John.

John recognized me as a Blast owner and proceeded to provide me with the FANTASTIC level of courtesy, professionalism, and information I believe should be a model for CS groups everywhere.

I suppose it's good to know that this may not be some corporate policy polluting good service. Maybe someone just needs a little bit of coaching...

Life truly is good if you allow it to be.

-Saro

Isn't it great?

I love it too. Don't miss the chance to thank your dealer, the one who makes this happen or not happen.

"waiting on back ordered parts" Ask them to show you a copy of the order documentation; get an order number. I suspect the parts are not "back-ordered"; more likely they were "not ordered" in a timely manner.

No kidding. The factory tends to be spectacular on getting parts out. Dealers like to order only on certain days (like every other Monday) and then blame the delay on the factory.
My local shop pulled that stunt for 6 months (forgetting to order, waiting to order, forgetting it when it came in) and blamed the factory the whole time - when actually the factory took less then 7 days to get a painted part to the dealer after it was actually ordered.

if in need the dealer can down vehicial the part.
meaning that the part is essential to the running of the motor cycle. especialy if it's your only transportation. hint hint

How about a way to reset your TPS without trying to get into your local busy dealer who doesn't even want a Buell in there anyway.

Hi all, first time on and I have a big complaint to vent about. I'm interested in purchasing a new blast but I'm having major headaches with the local dealer. I've been offered a good deal with a strange catch. One bike is a leftover '01 which has been modded with V&H pipe, jetting and milled head. Bike is new and never registered but they say they can't give a warranty because of the mods. They also say if I get an '04 and pipe it and jet it, this will void the warranty. I believe this goes against SEMA regs but I just need some feedback on this. Is the factory that afraid of the machine to back it? Also was treated as if they couldn't care less if they sold one or not. If I get one of these, how much problem can I expect from the machine and the dealer? I really like the fit of the bike and even named him...cernunos. Any advice? Oh, and out of the four blasts there not a one would start (and we've been there three times). Thanx

Find a new dealer!! But seriously, find a new dealer. Where are you located? I'm sure somebody here can send you in the right direction.

I've been somewhat fortunate in regards to dealerships. While none have been all too close (between 30 minutes to 1 hour away), they've been great to deal with.

Good luck!!

Its a dealers call to make. Some dealers are cool & know that a pipe isnt going to do a damn thing to hurt the bike, while other dealers will go out of their way to be jerks. You could always buy the 04 & put the pipe & jet it without the dealer knowing. Just dont buy your parts at the delaership since they keep track. Buy parts online or from an indy dealer. No record going back to the dealer or to the mothership that way.

Witch; Lake got it spot on - Find Another Dealer!!

If they can't even care enough to keep their "new" bikes on the floor running, imagine the level of care you will see, when you return with an issue *after* you've put down your hard earned $$.

Find Another Dealer - odds are, you *Will* be sorry if you don't.

Whats up with the leaking rar shocks and speed sensors burning up??? I'm on my Y2K M2's 3rd rear shock and 5th speed sensor. I weigh 175lbs and most always ride solo. Do I have to stock up on shocks like I do oil filters and plugs to make this a useable everyday bike?

Frank:

E-mail me your VIN and the details (like mileage and what prompted the shock failures) and let's take a look at it. Also, any notes you can provide (if you kept track of "mileage at failure" ) on the speedo sensor. If not, no big deal, but any facts will help.

Court, just for the record, I just bought a used shock because the third showa on my '00 M2 just pissed out all its oil and it feels like I'm riding a pogo stick. This is at 40,000 miles. I'm not going to look up my VIN or even dig out my maintenance log, but when I add these four to the four that I went through on my '98 S3-T, the common thread is they all tend to die in cold weather (except for the second WP which was recalled).
