Has anyone in the Denver Metro area picked up a hat yet? I really don't want to walk into any of those places unless I can get in and get out without having to deal with "what hats?" while they forgot about the box in the backroom. | ||

hey are you guys saying that the dealers are giving away bags just for taking a ride, they doing that again? Wahoo, its fun stomping the p--- out of someone elses buell for a change. What is great is that those new bikes seem to like it even more than mine, I'm there tell me when it starts if I had the money I'd buy one of those nifty little machines, but for now I'll just keep riding the he-- out of them when they let me.  | ||

I almost begged my dealer for a demo ride last year and all I got was the runaround. They told me I needed to set up an appointment. Then they said they didn't have a demo bike. Then they said that "maybe" they could set it up if "I was serious" about buying a bike. These excuses were over the course of a few months. My dealer is 50 miles away so I traveled to another dealer, 90 miles away to try to get a demo ride. These people didn't even know me and I was set up with a ride in no time. They told me a general area to ride in, to find some decent roads. Then they told me what time they closed so and for me to ride as long as I wanted. A demo ride at Myrtle Beach Bike Week was what convinced me to buy a Buell in the first place. Why can't some dealers realize that demo rides are THE way to sell bikes? The "free" hats and sling bags get people in the dealership. Demo rides get them on the bikes. Makes sense to me...but I'm not a dealer. What do I know? | ||

got1nut, I got my hat at Brian's h/d & buell. that shouldnt be to far for you to go to, I had no problems there. I'm glad to hear Liberty is still the same, I bought my 1st harley there and will never go back. | ||

Oh yes! Got my hat from H/D of Greensboro. Not even a blink when I ask for them. Had to find the person with the keys, 40 seconds later my wife and I walked out with new hats! Cox's H/D on the other hand, is one of those dealer's dropping the brand. "But we will still service your bike" hahahahahahahahaha! Yea, right | ||

Went to Arrowhead...four people later...they said they would ask the big guy in the back. Ten minutes later. They said he got on the Buell site and we are not part of this deal so why don't you go to Chandler they may have hats. i asked if they were still a Buell dealer? Yes we are. Do you have any Buell merchandise in this dealership? Why no we do not and Buell merchandise only Harley stuff but we do still sell the bikes. I left after saying something like I can not believe you guys can not even administer a free hat give away it is not like Buell even charged you for the hats? Well we have Harley Hats. I went to Hacienda..as soon as I walked in the first person I found said we know all about the hats. wait here we will get you one. Fastest thing I ever got their. I felt great so I thought I would push my luck to the next level and asked the status of Arizona's only Brag chapter....That is another story....as Court would say remind me to tell you sometime. | ||

I hate to bash anyone but Liberty HD almost made me say f*&* HD/Buells. I went with my brother to check out the buells (id never seen one before) and not one sales person acknowledged us. I thought to myseld must be because we look like sportbike riders and this is harley davidson afterall. after about 45 mins, I decided to ask a salesman a question about the buells. I asked him if the amber wheels would fit a 04 xb9s and he said no, they come how you see them. I was like but they look like the same tires. ANyway that was the extent of my conversation with that dude. I started asking talking to some HD owners at my job and they all concur that liberty is garbage. Then one of them told me if I liked the buells I should check out this site. I logged on liked what i read and then bought my buell from DAVES. I still dont have a clue what im going to do about service. I dont want to take it to liberty hd but theyre the closest to me. Im not mechanical at all, I can change the oil on my zx6r but thats about the extent of my skills  Im hoping that you guys can help me out and answer my questions when I have some. And about the hat, I dont care they didnt giveme one, I can buy one but they didnt have anything except 3 buell shirts..... sucks | ||

ok i went to get my hat a participating dealer....and they said oh no you have to send that coupon in......central fl h-d buell in fern park.........i friggin can't stand them i woulda bought my buell there...i did took it back long story.......went to al in daytona.......what bung holes | ||

I picked up my hat yesterday at Lakeland HD/Buell with no problem,knew exactly what I was talking about.The salesman said he wasn't sure ,but he thought you had to have the tag from the hat for a slingbag in April,anyone know if this is the case. | ||

Well, no hat for me. Stopped at my local dealer today. They say they won't participate in anymore Buell promotions because they lose money on them. According to the sales manager, they still have back packs left over from the last time. Yeah, I asked if I could get one of those instead. I did ask him if they were going to quit handling Buell's, to which he replied they still handle them, which could simply mean "We still got some on the floor." All of the 75% off Buell stuff is nearly gone. He did try to sell me a bike though. | ||

Not only is Chattahoochee HD in Columbus, Georgia not doing the hat deal, they informed me today that they are no longer a Buell dealer. It really won't change much, they weren't much of a Buell dealer to begin with. Just about everyone with a Buell or Harley around here with any sense makes the 150 mile trek to Dothan HD in Alababama or Earl Smalls in Marietta, Georgia for anything remotely important. No big loss. | ||

got mine today but had to make a run about 60+ miles away for it, was going to be in that area any way but definitely check the web site to make sure your dealer is a participating dealer,, ps. dont really care for the star but like the hat. | ||

A++ to HD/Buell of Ft. Washington, MD. You know they have hats because they have the POSTER on the front door right when you walk in. Then another Poster right when you walk into the showroom. Check with Denise, Salesperson, says sure, give me the filled out form and a hat you will get. We event cheated a bit and photocopied some blank forms for others that "forgot" theirs. I still don't like the Cowboys Star, they could have used a different color or added another corner to it, but what the heck it's a free hat with a little tag inviting you to come back in April to demo a Buell and get your backpack. So that's what we'll do. |
