Ether-twisted cable buns-what?

How 'bout this- Tarheel Twisters. Took part of Brankin's suggestion and combined it with Carlos' weather related theme.

Hows that?

Robert, when do you ship out? Maybe we can get a meeting together before that.

Gail Force Gang...

Slogan for Cat 5...

"Can you survive a Category 5?"

> [Hey ya'll, I believe the BRAG group sponsored by Tilley's is the Tarheel Twisty Riders, well, something like that. I can't remember the exact name, but it does have Tarheel in the title. Maybe Spooky is out there lurking? Spooky? I honestly can't remember the name in its entirety. Later.

Checking out the BRAG info on buell.com lists Tilley's BRAG Club as TarHeel Twisty Riders. With the contact still being listed as Brian Gardner...

Thank You Big Daddy, good catch on the Copyright infringement.

I don't know if it would constitute copy right infringement, but it certainly is too close to Tilley's chapter name.

Part of the tradition of naming the chapters is to give each it's own identity and describe it's character. It would be nice to somehow work geography into the name but is it necessary?

With that said, so far I like:

Asphalt Assault Association

Carolina Corner Carvers

Category 5

Braggin-Tides

I'm scheduled to be leaving sometime between the 10th and the 17th of February. I'd be up to a ride if possible.

I like the suggestions so far, my votes so far are for:

Category 5 and Asphalt Assault Association, come on, keep em coming. : )

Category 5 would be my vote, I even like the suggested slogan. It implies the most intense imaginable.

Well the weather outside is frightful.......

on the subject of a meeting, regardless of weather, how 'bout a meeting on the 13th of February at the dealership?

I had thought about next Sunday the 6th but it was pointed out that that was Super Bowl Sunday (I don't pay any attention to foot ball) and y'all might have plans.

I was thinking of 3:30 pm at the shop or I also thought maybe over brunch somewhere before the shop opens. (It opens @ 1:00pm).

This meeting would be just to put faces with names and begin some of the work of forming the club, name, potential officers, ideas for things to do.

SWEET! The inaugural meeting being held on the 13th! Gotta love it! But beyond my fascination with the number 13, it will be great to get the flywheels spinning to establish the group. I will be there (of course) and hopefully SouthernMarine will be able to make it before he ships off to Iraq.

As a side note, yesterday while waiting in line at the post office a guy in line behind me mentioned his buddy has a new Lightning (traded up from a Blast!). Hopefully his buddy will get in touch with me and we can add another to the group.

Maybe, as an incentive for some of the farther away Bueller's to attend, the free Buell hats could be distributed to anyone who attends the first meeting. Just a suggestion to help get a good draw for the first meeting.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

I'll be there. If a free hat is involved, this bald head needs all the cover it can get.

D'oh!!

That would probably help, wouldn't it?

Coming from Raleigh, it's easy. Head east on Hwy 70 to Goldsboro. Get off at the Williams St. exit, left on the service road right next to Goldsboro Chrysler Dodge Jeep.

Coming from the Pinehurst area, head east on Hwy 55 thru Dunn to Newton Grove. Head east on Hwy 13 to 117, then east on 117 which merges with 70 to the Williams St. exit, left on the service road, you can't miss us.

Coming from the east, Hwy 70 West to the Williams St. exit. Left on Williams St, under the the over pass, left at the light, right on the service road.

The meeting time will be 3:30 pm at the dealership.

1313, I don't see a problem with the hats, but everybody try to bring the internet coupon from Buell.com as the hats are a intelligence gathering tool for us and BMC.

Thanks and hope to see everyone there.

One detail to be added to Ayden's directions coming from Raleigh. It is easy as long as you don't miss the (barely labeled) turnoff for 70 just a short ways after you get into Goldsboro. From what i remember the last time I went that way is that you don't notice the sign for 70 until it is too late to initiate the turn. To make it easy for everyone as you get further in to Goldsboro, you will see an overpass. Immediately after the overpass on the right side is the ramp for the turnoff for 70. It will then be a short jaunt (a few exits) to Shelton's H-D/Buell. Don't be alarmed, but there is no Buell sign on the dealership.

I have never missed the turnoff, but if I didn't know where it is I am sure that I would've.

Jim - It will be great to finally meet you, after all of the E-mail correspondence. Feel free to bring the 'aftermarket seat cover' shown in your profile pic as I would like to check how well it fits on an S2.

I printed out 10 of the 'Free Hat' forms today to bring to the meeting. I will, of course, be using one but I hope the turnout will be such that the extra 9 won't be enough for everyone in attendance.

See you all on the 13th,

While we're on the subject of NC activity, WRAL is predicting a high of 60 degrees on Sunday.

Who's up for Michael's?

Spike - Assuming I can get my gf to bring my kids along in the cage, I'll be there. What time did you want to get there? I'll be leaving from south Raleigh this time, so I might try and meet you along the way. What route do you take from Apex to Chapel Hill?

Somebody, please clue me in. Who/What/Where is Michael's? If Ayden approves of it, then it's got to be good. Need some more details before I can commit.

With Carlos's brakes, I'd be more concerned about the heat showing on the front rotor. New fluid better be in there Carlos, or you're riding behind me (and don't complain about the view...).

I haven't a clue and don't care.; )

It's riders getting together and doing something, and that's enough.

Michaels is a place in Chapel Hill. I've never been there myself, but apparently it is a popular place for bikers of various ilk to have breakfast on Sunday mornings. I'm planning on going, hope to see you all there.
