By now we all know about the Buell hat deal. Please let me know if when you went to get your hat...  ...was the dealer ready and knowledgeable about the promotion OR  ...did they not know or couldn't find any hats, etc. | ||

My local didn't know about it, but immediately called their sister store to see if they were participating. They weren't either and told me I would have to ride down the Phx. They are very Buell friendly though... | ||

went down to the dealer yesterday...not everyone was aware of it, but after asking one or two people I found the person in charge of the promo, the hats were there, and they were happy to help. | ||

My dealer took 15 mins to figure out what was going on...but once they approached the manager about it she was like "Is it the 1st already?" She even came out and handled me personally  | ||

I got mine yesterday afternoon. Nobody at the dealer seemed to know anything about it until somebody remembered that there were a couple of boxes of hats in the office of one of the salesmen. It took about 20 minutes. The dealership was Rocket HD/Buell between Huntsville and Decatur in North Alambama. | ||

just called my local dealer, Ukiah Harley and Buell, they know of the promotion, and have the hats, said come on down! i printed the coupon and will go on thursday! S.LeeZ. | ||

My first Buell experience outside of working at a dealership in over 4 years... And it was horrible, they didn;t know of the promotion, they said they would stamp it and I send it in. I had to remind them that it was a in store promo and he went to the sales manager. Only took about 15 min to get the hat. The dealer had 5 Buells on the floor, no shirts, clothing or parts on display. No one knew one thing about Buells. wow I feel sorry for those who do not live near dealers like Dave and Craig. | ||

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, Spiderman. The only thing my dealer has going for them that relates to my Buell is a jam-up service department. Also, why isn't that link for the hat showing up in my browser? (IE) Bob | ||

Tripper... Yes... I bet I know who told you that! The promotion was to start on the first. When I talked to you-know-who on Saturday he told me the program started on the first, even though I knew that before I walked in his office. In the phone call this evening... it sounded like he was saying the promotion started on the second. I let it pass... and did not remind him what he told me on Saturday it started the first. ...or that the website said it started on the first. and I quote... TO GET YOUR FREE HAT: 1. Sign up for e-mail. 2. Print the coupon & fill in your name and address. 3. Take the completed coupon to a participating dealer near you between February 1 and April 15, 2005 and get your hat. | ||

Spidey: Which shop did you go to? I'd like to know so I can add them to my list of area shops to not bother with. I may get a part time gig at one of the NW Ohio shops. I was in talking Buells over Christmas and they extended the offer. They actually want to add someone that knows Buells! Tom | ||

My dealer says "Hat? What Hat?" Also, it's Firefox that the hat promo isn't showing up in. IE is ok, it just won't load the page with the coupon. Sorry for the confusion. I'm screwed both ways. Go figure. Bob | ||

Went to Hal's HD this evening. They all knew what I wanted  Wisconsin HD in Oconomowoc knew nothing about 'em, and will stop selling Buells when they finish their new building. | ||

I went to Glendale Harley/Buell today. I am looking at buying in the next 2 months. It seemed like they didn't know anything about the free hat deal. Ernie, the salesman, nexteled somebody and said they didn't get any hats and mentioned something about slingbags. So Ernie gave me one of the hats off the shelf. Nice guy and they had a nice Buell corner set up. About 6 bikes, jackets, t-shirts, a few helmets, and accessories. | ||

I was the first to get one at Bloomington HD/Buell. I was still talking to the parts guy...got spotted with the coupon, and somebody snatched it out of my hands, and came back with a hat for me!! Didn't even get to thank them!!  | ||

Stopped by a dealer other than my own(it was on the way home) and it was listed under the dealers section of the hat promo, mind you i have never been to this dealer before, but again it was on the way home so i figured why not stop and see(i knew my dealer would have them, so i figured it would be more of a scouting mission) Not only did they have the hats, they were really nice about it, had a fair selection of Buell clothes, about 2 03XB's. 4 Xb12's 1 city X, and 1 blast, they also had opposite the bike a really nice display of Buell clothes that were avaliable for purchase, i was plesently surprised The odd thing, was all the apperal was the new stuff, not one piece of last years stuff at all They did a nice job i thought, but not sure how they do on sales R | ||

Yep WildFire it was, i have a freind that goes there for his HD stuff and mentioned that it was a nice place, and i have to admit he was right, nice people, store is pretty big, lots of HD stuff, but again a fair amount of Buell stuff I dont think you could ask for much more, but i have to admit, i didnt talk to a sales man, just the parts girls R | ||

Ned- All I use is Firefox, and it worked just fine, on both my computers. Also, the screen shot that I put in another thread is from Firefox. Its all about individual settings be it IE or any other. | ||

I went into the Firefox settings and listed www.buell.com as an allowed site for pop ups, and poof, after a reboot, there was the ad in the upper right corner. | ||

Went to the Mancuso Crossroads store in Houston. It took about 2 minutes to get the hat. They said I was the first one. There was a sign prominently displayed in the Buell corner that explained the promotion. Someone may have posted this already but there is a tag on the hat that says if you go back to the dealer and demo a Buell between April 15 and June 30 they will give you a free sling bag. | ||

Went by the dealership in Albany, OR. Lady at the counter had no clue, even though they had a sign posted on her counter. Again took only about 15 min. to get it. Like the little chain that came with it, it will work well as a key chain. |
