There are 4 different clubs that sponsor track days out at Pocono (PA), any body here belong to any of these clubs: NESBA,NYSBC,REDUC, and Team Pro-Motion. Not sure which one to join. | ||

I attended a NESBA event last year out here in the midwest. I was very impressed and had a great time. They are very organized and the instruction was invaluable. I think they're expensive relative to other outfits, but the instruction adds a lot of value that makes it worth it in my book. | ||

Nesba seems to take a little better care of the newer guys and like KC said, the control riders will really help you. Team Pro-motion kind of leans a little more to racing practice but their CR's will help you too. Reduc seemed a little,... go do your thing and have fun, but maybe that was just me cause I raced with the CR. There are great people at all 3 and you'll have a great time and make new friends with any of them. I'd lean to NESBA if you're new and they'll let you try it for free, but check the schedule for who's schedule fits you? | ||

I'm both TPM and NESBA member and have done a number of track days with each. NESBA puts on great track days.I think the control riders at NESBA events do a very nice job at keeping the traffic flowing without letting the squids get out of hand. Some of them also seem more interested in giving riding advice. TPM has matured a lot over the years, and run very professional track events. They are *very* safety aware, and have no problem calling in riders - or even everyone attending at once - to "refresh" everyone's memory as per riding safety. I have found their control riders - all very friendly - a little less interested in instructing. Which, granted, is not technically why they are there. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate recommending either of those outfits. All round great and friendly people. Henrik | ||

I've done a bunch of events with TPM. Agree with Henrik, very focused on safety. Have personally attended mid-morning "refresher" riders meetings after crash-happy morning sessions. Don't know about NESBA and their interest in instructing, but I have had TPM control riders stop to make suggestions to me in the pits after a session. My dad (former WERA roadracer late 80's) commented on how professionally TPM was run, for whatever that's worth. Pocono East is a good Buell course, no really long straights. For me, only two pucker corners, coming onto the straight (banking) and coming off (down across banking to level left turn, with requisite bump in middle. And, airfence protected armco before apex.) TPM did have a partnership with a local Buell dealer last year; their "rental" fleet were XB's. Given the choice between NESBA & TPM, I chose TPM for that reason. Thanks for the info guys. I raced AMA amateur moto-x and hare scrambles in the 80s and 90s but getting on a road course is something I've always wanted to do. I have some work ahead of me since my S1 is almost 9 yrs old and I'll need to find a pair of leather riding pants also. Pretty excited about getting out there and letting it all hang out, something I don't do on the roads anymore. | ||
