Well I went and got lasik eye surgery on wednesday. So far so good. I started a thread ask for your comments about lasik and I thank all of you for your replies. The procedure was a little nerving (not knowing what to expect) but I made it though it. As of Thursday I had 20/20 vision in both eyes. This is great.

Norrie, I never asked what my prescription was but the doctor said something like a plus 3 if that means anything to you.
Hey Blackbelt, just because I can see don't mean I can read.

And how long was the procedure & how quick the recovery?

Congrats on the 20/20. That's gotta feel really good.

I had it done in Soiux Falls South Dakota. It cost me $2000 an eye. It is not the cheepest place but I only have two eyes. It was procedure was called Intra Lasik. Bladeless.
I was in the surgery room for about 20 min. and half of that was waiting for the doctor.
Recovery; the next day my eyes only felt dry and my sight seems very good. Today they feel fine.

Fantastic...Best of luck to you Eagle Eye!

Know a number of folks of all ages all across the country that have had it done successfully. One of these day's I am going to break down and get a consultation or two.

Riding with Rx glasses is ok. Riding with contacts much better, but, riding without either has to be the best.
