I'm sure many of you ebayers in here have seen the *REALLY* cheap carbon on ebay. And being someone who *IS* really cheap, I decided to risk it, and pickup a rear fender.

I am seriously surprised how well it looks. Not as nice as the American Sport Bike stuff I've seen, but still very presentable.

Time will tell. If it fades and turns green after a summer you will know. I have purchased all my Carbon fiber American Sport Bike and it has held up well.

Steve, what bike is that piece for? Also beware that there is a set of XB carbons being sold in colors that are basically a scam. I know them when I see them but can't think of the links to the threads off hand. Try doing a search on the XBboard under "Carbonfiber bodywork"

It was listed for an S1, but it will fit an S3.

Had some of that stuff on my watch list. Nice to see a badwebber bought it. Hope it works out for you.

My carbon sub is a LP piece, seems cheap for the price, intake and lower belt guard both from Buell, also seem cheap for the price...

Steve, I noticed that about the fender, photo of the M2 bit. Probably would've gotten that one otherwise.

Koz, how does the American Sport Bike CF look? I saw a Monster last spring that had a CF sub fender that was beautiful, the weave was awesome, and the quality and color of the finish was real nice too. I was jealous. The Buell bits are dull and greenish.

These folks make decent CF for the Monsters. Nothing for Buells. I'm no huge fan of CF because the hot Texas sun turns most of it yellow in no time. No shade to park in here at work.

I have the Heat Shield, the shock cover and the M2 Dash plate. I think they are nice.

Reepicheep - Nope. I have seen that bodywork on-line before, I'm not sure where but it was for sale.

Hmmm. Those guys aren't too far from me. I think I'm going to contact them and see if they have any interest in making some stuff for the XB. I have all of the colored plastic body parts as spares (although they are a bit rough so they may not be able to mold from them without repairing them). I would at least like to get some of the various guards as well as the rear fender done.
