Hello, I'm new to this board. I bought my first Buell this year on Mother's day, neat trick huh. I have a 99 M2 Cyclone. A friend, Aydenxb9, who is a loyal Buelligan, talked me into a Buell. He and I have similar riding interest and I have to admit that Buells play right into the type of riding I love to do. I love to find the twisty roads and play but have little interest in prolonged triple digit runs.

The M2 is my second bike, I also have a 96 Nighthawk. Though I love my M2, I like other bikes too. I am a true motorcycle enthusiast. I hope to add at least two more bikes to my stable. I want a true sport tourer and a crusier/dresser. Though I stumbled onto an NSR250R on e-bay and thought, yeah now that's a track bike.

My best adventure so far was my ride to DC for Rolling Thunder on Memorial Day. I trailered both bikes to a friend's house nearby, and we had a great weekend. I found out the Buell does not like traffic, and my friends found out that an HD is no match for a Buell (They really did not understand).

Next year I hope to make some Buell events, maybe Homecoming. My father-in-law has a place nine miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway. I will go see him several weekends next year. Finally my cousin wants to take me to the Dragon.

I have been monitoring this board for some months now so I justed wanted to introduce myself.

Welcome, glad to see another M2 rescued by a motorcycle enthusiast instead of ending up as part of another BUTT HOLE chopper and lost forever as one of the worlds BEST motorcycles.

"BUTT HOLE CHOPPER"

I wasn't aware until after I bought my M2 what was happening to old Buells. Not this one. It has a home.

M2nc, click on the user names to check out our profiles. You'll find that many of us are multi-brand riders. We're all Buell nuts, of course, but not exclusively so by any means.

Welcome to the sickness!

Carlos!

Why you been holding back on me regarding your father in law's place only 9 miles off the BRP? You know that when I need to I can really be well behaved... I assume Aydenxb9 is already in the know... Keep me informed so we can do more Buellin' together this year.

Below is a picture of the factory where all Buell's from the S2's on up have been built, taken on Monday.

Hey Carlos, welcome. I'm down here at Lejeune. We'll all have to get together and do a little riding. Take it easy and have a Happy New Year.

1313 - Yup, about three and half hours from here just north of Winston-Salem. He is here for Xmas and I put him on notice. He said come on.

Southern Marine - Yeah Dave told me there was a fourth Buelligan in the area. I'm definitely ready to ride. In fact I came home for lunch today and rode the bike back to work. With Buells being such a rare bread around here, it will be fun pulling up somewhere with four of them.

When Brankin gets back from Mecca, we should get together anyway, see if we can't kick start a riding group around here.

Hey guys, I'm back in town! Too bad USAirways had different plans for my luggage. I was told that it would be forwarded to Craven County Regional Airport and be delivered today so I layed low and waited...and waited...and waited. I stopped by the Craven Airport tonight and they said 'Hopefully, tomorrow'. I can't afford to waste another day waiting for their sorry asses, especially when the weather is this nice. It is now on them to get me my luggage on my terms.
So what are we doing tomorrow?!?!

I'll call you in a bit. Carlos is tied up with family this weekend. I have an appointment to talk with John at Shelton's today, you can guess what it might be about.

After that though, I'll have a little time.

I talked to Dave, but he was waiting until later today to finalize the plan. Sounds like we are going to have a gaggle of bikes.

Where is the meeting place? Anybody! I don't know how far away everybody is from one of the larger cities. Pick a spot and time. Alot of the sport bikers around this area like to go towards the NC scenic byway into the Uwharrie hills. There is a great little breakfast joint about 12-15 miles before you get into the really good action. Total ride can last from 4-5 hours and midway point is Morrow Mountain Lookout. If any one is interested in coming our way shoot me an email.

Right now it's looking like we'll probably be riding to Maple Hill. Robert(Southern Marine) is on notice and has to stay within a reasonable distance of Lejuene in case he's needed.

I'm still trying to firm up the time. One of the other people I contacted, he has to work in the morning but he hasn't told me how late he's working til. As soon as I get some answers I will firm the details.

U4euh, if you and yours want to join us on Sunday, come on! It'll be a bit trek, but not bad. Were going to be riding roads between Jacksonville and Burgaw N.C.

I'm quickly finding out that I must choose my words carefully around here. I wish it was a juicy story, but that will have to wait until this weekend.
