Dyna, You surprise me! We're the same age and I know that you really meant to post a pic of Miss Hurst Linda Vaughn. Us old gearheads have seen her around for the past 20, maybe 30, years.

I'm rather partial to Bettie Page, but we won't be seeing any new stuff from her. On a more modern note, Masuimi Max really revs me up these days:

Here's a pic of Ms. Max and me at a recent charity show she did here in Austin on behalf of one of Satan's Cheerleaders, the backup dancers for the Flametrick Subs:

Check out her website (above) to get an idea of the type of show she puts on (or takes off!)

She's been around closer to 40 yrs. In fact they just pulled her out of mothballs this year & had her on the rear of a car for the NHRA again.

Thanks, Lornce. Sadly, both Myrna Loy and Jeanne Crain are deceased now. They were REAL beauties, in contrast to the modern variety that are the beneficiaries of airbrused makeup, surgical augmentations and reductions, digital photo manipulation, etc. A little info:

Myrna Loy (born Myrna Adele Williams) was 5'6", and was born on August 2, 1905 in Montana. She made movies from the 1920s to the 1980s, at least 132 of them. She is best known for playing opposite William Powell in The Thin Man movies. Interesting aside: she had a bit part in the 1925 version of Ben Hur for which she was paid $3.25. She was quite an activist, serving for five years as the film advisor to UNESCO, advisor to the National Committee Against Discrimination in Housing, was a founding member of the American Place Theatre, helped run a Naval Auxiliary Canteen during the War, and was hard working feminist long before it was fashionable. She even had the courage to organize an opposition to the stupidity of the Un-American Committee hearing on Hollywood - that took real guts at the time. She never won an Oscar for her acting work, but received an Lifetime Achievement Award in 1988. She died December 14, 1993.

Jeane Crain was born May 25, 1925 in Barstow, California. She won the Miss Long Beach beauty contest at 16 years of age and the very next year was named Camera Girl of 1942. She received two Best Actress Oscar nominations for her acting work, but never won one because she was so frequently cast as the pretty face/girl next door in light films. She died December 14, 2003. She is survived by five children, one of which, Paul Brinkman Jr. is known for his work on JAG.
