Need a TPS reset on my 99 X1. Dealer wants me to 'leave the bike with them' for a WEEK before they can 'get to it'. Anyone know someone in the Houston area who can do this? I refuse to let some yahoos push my bike into a corner and let it sit for a week to do 10 minutes work on it. Then want to sell me a new battery because it's dead when I get back.

Tex: Who's your dealer? And what part of town are you in? My son has had good luck at Republic HD in Stafford (on 59S) and I've heard good things about Woodlands HD (on 45N).

I'm in the Texas City/Dickinson area. Tried Goe and they're no help. Guy I talked to in 'Service' didn't sound like he was ready to start shaving yet. Finally did talk to the right person at Stubbs though (who knows a little about Buells) and he said he could do it in ~10 minutes. I'll get it done this weekend.
