I was reading about that truck... It was like 500 HP, and close to 1000 foot pounds of torque. Do the math on peak RPM... that's like 2500 RPM redline  | ||

Oh, yeah the highest output DT466 is 300HP and 860ft-lbs peak torque. | ||

Here's my baby...  That's actually a DT570, a stroked version of the 466. The cooler is shorter on the 466, depending on rating. (Message edited by uwgriz on December 16, 2004) | ||

The power it comes with standard is the DT-466. 220 h.p. 540 lbs. of torque. though many power options are available. Way cool, way big , way out of my price range. | ||

I think it is supposed to make 9 mpg. The aerodynamics aren't quite up to Bonneville slip streamer standards. Tony (Spiderman), You have a good point. I think you can get a brand new Peterbuilt 357 with 550HP Cat C13 engine for right around $100K. Would still need to fab up some kind of cool looking bed though. | ||
