That sucks... Too bad we probably won't know the motive. Maybe he said something to someone first.

He was apparently upset about Pantera's break-up. Just another crazed fan. I wonder if the date, December 8th, the same date John Lennon was killed, had anything to do with it?

He was actually a pretty talented guitarist who spent a lot of time teaching the art to students of the craft. He was also a respected journalist and writer. He never did anything to deserve being gunned down.

That was a little tasteless. It was a nickname. He was a really cool guy. I March when I went to a DamagePlan concert he sat in the lobby area of the club talking to people and signing shirts right up until Damage Plan took stage. Plus he could do solos as good as anyone and his riffs were so awesome. He'll be missed. I just feel so bad for his brother.

Pisses me off. There were only 2 true guitar soloists left on this Planet and now 1 of them is dead. Time to get body guards for Zakk Wylde.

Pantera and Damageplan really wern't my style but I liked Dime's playing. It's a shame and he will be missed. It's been a bad year for guitarists with guys like Shaun Lane and Dime passing or being passed.

But...

Check out anything by Dream Theater, Megadeth, Vai, Satch or many other great guitarists struggling through obscurity. There are many great lead guitarists out there.

B.T.W. I love Zakk, He's a friend of a friend. He doesn't need a body guard, he's a freak'n mountain.
