As money permits, it'll evolve into something like this ; )

Wanna go too?
PS. Ummm, Court. Mate.
Any advice for a Dummie needing sponsorship for the Dakar in 2006...?

Christmas comes early! Whoooohooo!

I'm very envious!

Got any funds left over for a good lock or should I send you one? : ]

Lornce, your preferences are your own business but I gotta ask. Why'd you pick an ugly one?

Don't believe those county fair beauty queens: The ugly ones try harder.

Blake,
I've got an even bigger lock now. It's also got an alarm, and the last clincher is that it won't ever be left outside in Amsterdam!

All it needs is a Touratech tanks/frame kit. It already has the suspension, wheels, navigation gear etc.
Then just lots of money for spares, entry fee and all those other necessary costs : (

If you can survive on bean and cheese burritos for a month, I have the tucker covered, (practicing your native language which will be important if we are to communicate effectively). : ]

There would also be salsa and jalepenos for the fruit and vegetable content.

And beer to wash it all down of course.

Where do we find the entry forms?

Tucker will work fine, but alas, bean and cheese burritos are not real tucker. It's not a problem though, as the food is catered.
Entry forms are at http://www.dakar.com
Ya got a bike? Let's DO IT!

Hans,
What the hell is Nondedju? It appears on Google a lot, but not on translation sites. I'm not game to ask my wife just in case she laughs at my ignorance again.... : (

Merry Christmas.
Nondedju is an exclamation of a strong emotion at an unexpected event. The context or the circumstances have to make clear if the extraordinary event is good or bad. To keep that word powerful, it may be used only a few times in a lifetime. You forget even to know it, till it surfaces, involuntarily, at the right moment.
(Comes from the French "Nom de Dieu"= Name of God.)
