All i am trying to do is sell a few items, make a few bucks so i can pick up a new bike, so i put a bunch of stuff up on Ebay, and everything works out cool, mustang parts are gone, VLX parts gone, Ducati parts mostly gone, and then comes Buell parts, so now i am being told that i am listing a part that isnt for the bike i listed, and how wrong i am, and to be honest i am not sure what its for(year wise) but i have to belive its for the bike i say its for
SO i need some help, can anybody tell me what the following part fits, prefer a year and model, so i can get this guy off my back

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4503789598&rd=1&ss pagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT

or auction number:
4503789598

Now understand i am being told this is for a sportster, part of some performance kit, and this may be true, but i find it hard to belive
help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Roger I believe its alittle bling bling for the Screaming Eagle air cleaner that they used to sell for the S1 lightning. It went on top of the chrome screaming eagle ham can cover. But it is a for a S1 lightning and Screaming Eagle/HD sold it.

I think it was only sold in 96 for guys who installed sportster aircleaners on their S1s. I do not think Buell sold an aircleaner marked for an S1 that it would fit on (tho it obviously fit S2 and RS aircleaners).

The original retail packaging was Harley's Screaming Eagle line and it cost about $10.

There supposedly was a silver on black one as well.

Yup , it's a screamin eagle part , was available only for a short time , silver or black , fit's a ham can style filter.

Here's a black one , I saw one go for $35 last week on ebay.

The Sportster, Big Twin and Screaming Chicken plates will fit on the S2 covers.. The spacing is the same, I run a Sportster Ham Can cover on 1 of my S2's and run covers on both my S2's.

so here's how it went down in round 2, round 1 went down via ebay, and basically he told me that this is for a sportster, a kit avaliable called the S1 kit, but only for a sportster
oh well, i should have put it on the RS and messed with him a little, but dont have the time
Ah well, just one Bueller looking out for another i you look at it really hard

I own a 96 buell S1 they started making the S1's in 95 and only made a few. They didn't fit those either.

I am 100% confident that it does not fit a stock air cleaner on any year Buell S1.

The Lightning kit was offered as a hop up kit for the sportsters. This is where this came from

me:
Fine i will pull it
thanks for your concern
However the auction dosent say stock, it says new, it is new actually
a NOS piece
But to make you happy i will pull the auction
thanks much for your concern
R

Of course i pulled it for Newfie, funny people are concerned about an auction they plan to not bid on, but need to put in there 2cents, oh well i hope the guy is happy, i now Newfie better be\

Silly me, if the part clearly says "S1 Lightning", then i'm willng to bet thats what its for. I admit, i have emailed sellers when thier parts are obiously incorrect (like saying a 180 series tire will fit a Buell Blast...seen that one?) I figure it will hep sellers avoid liability issues for incorrectly listed items.I'm also very polite and try to give proper refrences for the info I send...

I dont really have a problem correcting an auction, i dont even have a problem pulling an auction if i were to list it wrong, but come on, i thought this was a no brainer, and i only listed it as an air cleaner insert for an S1, nothing more, but it makes for a fun day in an otherwise uninteresting slow time
Ahhh

$20 for what???? If its for the S1 insert i am sorry to say it went to a felow Bueller, who in reality i feel deserves it, plus he has an S1, and was in Fuell, so i felt it was best if he got it, for less than this, but he fed me so it all works out
thnaks for the offer Court, but not to worry, its going to a good owner

grndskpr did u robb a buell dealership? most of yous stuff is brand new

I made them a fair offer for about 1/10 of there inventory(stuff they were looking to get rid of, i kept the stuff i wanted and ebayed the rest, its all legit, and have parts people who will back me up, as well as an owner, and other Brag members who thought i was nuts, but theres 2 weeks worth of stuff yet to come
