That's my listing , a ten week layoff has forced me to , ...... um , start cleaning out the garage. Lot's of other stuff for sale too ! , more to follow. The S1 is molten orange / carbon fibre now , the orange tank , being greater capacity is more usefull to me.

Fella's............. a harmless prank , I could easily replace the pic with something more tastfull , I am simply trying to get attention to the auction listing by using humour.

Newfie_buell : How much af a market is there for a motorcycle / custom / repair business is there on the rock ? . This area has reached the saturation point , seems every other month another "chopper" store opens up , my gut feeling is the time is not right to launch yet another one here.

You'd need to expand into custom parts for snowmobiles!

Well Hoser,

There is absolutely NO custom bike shops here on the island. The time is ticking before one starts up and I am thinking with the right kind of marketing it could turn into something BIG.

Wish I had the money/resources to start something!!!

Lets put it this way - there only ONE Harley Retailer and ONE independent Harley Shop that also is a Suzuki Retailer. I am sure if one were to open shop and provide good service and accessibility to parts you could make a decent living working on things you like.

funny thing 'bout OCC and our area of 'The OC-NY'
there are MANY chopper shops hereabouts,I mean like wto dozen within a half-hour drive of me.
OCC is relatively new, and pretty much still considered to be a joke in these parts. I used to deal with them when they were still a steel-fabricator shop whose managers rode gay- softtails. just a ahlf-mile from them a bunch of ex-employees have a much, much nicer custom shop (east side choppers). This county has a VERY strong motorcycle community which predates the relatively recent "harley rage". some excellent racers came from The OC, great race-shops and an inordinate number of hardcore riders considering the short-season here in NYS.
Please don't get the idea that anyone here in the OC even likes these schmendricks. They're but a source of embarrassment to us all.
I do give 'em props, though, for their excellent marketing. They deserve a LOT of credit in that department.

Tramp (Jay) yeah, that was what my bud's been telling me.. gave me a couple of stories of some of the 'famous' TV bikes that dropped parts right after (some before) their customer gets the bike.

Please, how can you 'build bikes as a business' and not know how to secure a fender? Or worse, some of the controls possibly dropping off / failing while your riding it?

Oh, do you know how they got that TV show?

I spent some time with Vinnie this summer at a chopper show in Maryland. He seemed like a nice, down to earth guy. He took my XB for a spin on the coastal highway in Ocean City. Said he liked it and that he thought it pulled really hard.

The bike they built for Leno ended up having an issue that supposedly didnt sit too well with jay. Riding the bike & it dies, wont restart.

Turns out that they wired the ignition thru the tailight. Blow the bulb & the whole bike just dies.

Gotta hand it to them though, they have a hell of a marketing scheme right now & are loaded with $$.

Local aftermarket shop in our area was working on a customers OCC bike. The mechanic had a pretty serious wreck on the bike after the frame failed during a test ride. Don't know the outcome of the several lawsuits I'm sure ensued.
I was told the frames are made by another branch of the same family.

don't surprise me, some one told me last week that J.James is selling his autograph on bike's to who ever pay's for it, the bike will end up as a JJ bike, but are build by some low live cheap rip off builder with a very poor sens for quality
