Here's the Pierce, built in Buffalo, New York between 1909 and 1913. Fuel was carried in the frame tubes, and check out that leather drive belt with an adjustable idler pulley for tension! So that's where Erik got his ideas... (juuust kidding)  This example is in the Petersen automotive museun in Los Angeles, and is in original, unrestored condition. Horsepower: One-point-five.
