After years of swearing that they could have my leathers when they pried them from my . . . . you get the picture ;-}

Got a 2-piece aerostich (hooray ebay!) a couple of weeks ago, and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long

clearly designed by folks that spent a lot of time in the saddle, it's aces! I'm sure I havn't discovered all the pockets, zippers and other features yet, but I love the thing . . . . . . spent a long weekend in it a while back, worked exactly as advertised, kept me comfy and dry, fits like it was made for me (I lucked out and got one zactly my size), and is now my standard ride to work gear -- ez on, ez off, just like the diner on the highway!

and, in the color they call gray (a little on the OD side of the spectrum), I look like some demented door gunner!

what more could you ask

ao, if you've been waffling, jump in and get one!

er, model? it's a two piece roadcrafter -- izzat what you're askin (I'm new to this cult, so there may be a number of levels, kinda like a masonic lodge -- when do I learn the secret handshake?)

still hanging on the the leather, mind you, not about to give iot up, but the stich is just so practical!

actually, it wasn't Roger, although he can be persuasive -- it was

1. the onset of iffy riding weather, and not working at a jeans and t-shrit place

and, 2, thinking I may be able to take a weekend trip without packing as much stuff (rain gear and the like)

I got my 2 piece Roadcraft suit from their (Aerostich) SALE page, at least the lowers. I went ahead and ordered to top to fit me.

The top has taken a 25mph crash very well, sliding on asphalt.

Just gotta layer up. Their electric vest (Unobtainium) is worth the money as well. THey got some cool gear. I also got their 3-fingered gloves to keep my hands dry in the rain.

I could spend way too much money there.

Okay I'm thinking about converting myself. Do you think the ellipse is necessary on a Buell? I'm going after the one-piece road crafter, just wondering what mods to think about.

Which Buell????
RS-No
S3T- nope
M2-Maybe
S1-Yes
S2-Dont think so
XB-Yes

However i must warn you, other than the S3 and RS i have no experience with the suit, but i can take an educated guess from previous times i have sat on the bikes
hope this helps

MB

I'm 6'2", ,190#, have a Maduece with grewatly lowered bars, the 44L two-piece road crafter fits me like it was made for me, and the ellispe is #1 on my christmas list -- with stock bars, I likely wouldn't need it

with an X1, depending on your build, I'd guess 50/50 (not much help, I know)

btw, for me, the two piece is the way to go -- more flexibility, don'cha know
