Are you talking about the bike or the guy with the huge afro in the crowd?

Folks,
This is a 2 parter, the first is the picture above.
The second is the video done by the guy in the background in the red (at least that's what I heard).
It went REALLY bad a split second after the picture was taken.

The rider cracks his mellon REALLY hard on the the pavement.
Needless to say, he didn't walk away from this little event.
I never did hear if the guy survived.
The video creaps me out......

Post a link Brad, for heavens sakes...........

I don't suppose you guys want to hear the whole story again, but a few years ago I was standing on the left side of my new Y2K M2 and somehow it tipped towards me. I got caught underneath the bike and landed on my butt with the bike in my lap. After I landed, I flopped over backwards and hit my head on the pavement. I was wearing a helmet but still knocked myself goofy.

Ya gotta be about half dumb to ride around the block without a helmet, but doing stunts without a helmet is beyond stupid. Sometimes the potential damage, or risk, is just to great to make a chance worth taking. I mean, would the stunt have been any less entertaining or spectacular if the guy had been wearing a helmet? Was it worth taking the chance of spending the next 50 years in a wheel chair? How cool is it to live in a rest home, drool on yourself and be fed by a nurse for the rest of your life?

I hate stupid people.

I beleive it's called natural selection. It's the only way to keep this guy's jeans from clogging the pool drain, or whatever. Since modern medicene has eleiminated most fatal childhood diseases we have to rely on other means of strengthening the gene pool. I wonder if he had insurance?

Most of them guys do low speed stunts and get pretty confident in their abilities (I.E., cocky).

Did you try http://www.sportbikerider.us/index.cfm for posting it? Not sure if they allow video uploads or not.

I have to agree. I posted the picture because that really does look funny. Watching that clip gave me cramps below the belt.

Unfortunately people still ride without gear and do stupid stunts when they should not.

I think the guys name was Kyle Wood. Could not find anything more about it, somebody somewhere said he survived OK, but it sure did not look that way to me from the video. Looked like a serious head injury to me. It really was disturbing : (

I have a friend that recently got taken out by Tire Service Truck. The truck ran a stop sign and got him. Was over to the hospital lunch time today, he has two broken legs, ruptured bowell, broken vertebrate in his neck and miscellaneous other injuries.

Guess what was not injured?..........His HEAD and no road rash.

Of course he is a firm believer in riding with full gear all the time. The impact even removed the steel toe plate from his boot.

Bad enough seeing that on video however just think what would have happened had the wheel struck him in the face - I think his head would have exploded like a pumpkin.

Just my thoughts.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend Newfie. I hope he recovers quickly.

If you watch the video carefully you will notice that the handle bars didn't crack his nuts. Because the bike is flipping from underneath him, the bike is rotating while coming down. The handlebars eventually come down on his knees.

Anybody know what happened? I was told by a friend who's into this stunting stuff that the guy's clutch cable broke.
