Rocket, just catching up on my video tapes and see Toseland winning the SBK. Quite a race with Haga.

You Yorkshiremen are fast!

Glad you noticed Dave Born not 40 miles from the seat I'm sat on was young Toseland.

I did make some reference on the board earlier, but no one as usual gave a shite. If Edwards had won, be a different story around here. Ah well.

Old Pec eh? From the Masham brewery up in t' North Yorkshire Moors. Very nice to is the Old Pec! They sell it on draught around these parts.

Cheers Dave!!!

Old Peculiar is quite tasty, I imagine it quite a bit tastier in Yorkshire.

Great way to finish the season with so many riders able to win right up to the last day. MotoGP may yet develope into a battle. I though Rossi had it wrapped up and than he crashes out at Qatar. He has opened the door for Gibeneau (sp?).

I lost track of the racing scene halfway through the season Dave.

In WSB young Vermullen and the Ken Take Blade looked to be running strong for the title. Laconi, with more wins under his belt looked to have the measure of team mate Toseland. Both kept chucking away their chances though and I thought it looked like curtains for Toseland back in July / August. You have to say though, Toseland rode out of his skin in those last two races. Refreshing to see the Ducati's still beating the Japanese onslaught too. More so after those cynically calling WSB the Ducati Cup.

I went to Donnington to see the Moto GP boys in action. I was at the first corner for the first few laps and when I saw Capirossi come through first on the Ducati, I was grinning big time - until the next lap. Those four strokes are loud too man. The Kawasaki especially, which sounds like an old Group C rotary engined Mazda race car I saw at Donnington years ago.

Man did Rossi run away at Donnington. Worse still, Biaggi was nowhere to be seen. I got home late that night. Even the 916 had difficulty, as all bikes did, leaving the Donnington car parks. It was certainly the busiest I've ever seen the place. Thousands turned up by bike, which was great to see, but still the roads leaving were chocka. Suffice to say, the video got put to one side for a day or two, which in turn became a week and then a month. Nope still haven't seen it either.

So after Donnington the GP boys broke up for four weeks, right in the middle of me going to France for my hol's too. I get back only to have missed the first race of the seasons second half. Now I'm upto speed and I'm delighted Rossi isn't running away with it. Somehow though, I think it was Rossi's poor luck and not Gibernau's undeniable skill that's put him back in the fight. Hard to imagine Rossi being stopped, but I for one would like to see a different world champ this year.
