Saab tuners are the bestest: D
Wonder if they will also work on turbo volvo's?

maybe if that deal falls thru Sean could get a Citroen repair shop? Or maybe a Fiat? I dont think anyone here on badweb has either of those.

You don't think Rocket could have been using the Saab story as a metaphor for anything Buell related, do you???

I zinged it. If Rocket an issue, and wants to call somebody names, he needs to do it honestly, and to that persons face (or at least directly via email).

The post was simply an attack on someones integrity, for no good reason, with no supporting facts. It wasn't even a good clean shot... all whispering and innuendo.

I did the same thing I would do if I saw the same thing posted against Rocket, or against Dyna, or against anyone else, regardless if I agree with their position.

I did the same thing I did when I took the time to tell Rocket how to get his hotmail account working again several weeks ago, did the right thing to make this a better community.

Missed this story, oh well.
But Dyna there are Citroen owner(s) on the site here, probably a few Fiats represented as well.

Was this vanishing post sarcastic, humorous, or plainly flambastic in nature?

Some wounds never do heal completely, and some paths diverge and never should rejoin again.
Best to mostly stay out of any discussions involving separated involvements and just say nothing when the topic comes up. If something is to succeed it will do so, if it is to fail it will also do so, past deeds if still present will resurface, if not then best to leave them buried in the past.

I've some knowledge of past history, not for public discourse as there is no current need to do so, and if the need arises in the future there are better venues to present them. Since I didn't see the vanishing post I'll stop here. And should I ever find myself in the vicinity of England I know one door I'll be knocking on to borrow a bike for an hour or two and go for a ride about their countryside.

Whatever was said, 'nuf said, life goes on so probably time to move on.

So? The exact same thing happens on a daily basis in the Political Thoughts thread. Nobody seems to be bothered by that.

Never mind. I don't want to be in a position where I have the public "last word".

If anyone has an issue with me moving the post, I invite you to email me offline so we can work it out. If you would rather not do that, I invite you to email Blake and explain your concerns to him.

It wasn't a personal attack on anyone was it Bill, and I'll care for you to put the post back up. And by the way Bill, I don't for one appreciate you playing god or censor. Especially with my posts.

Incidentally Bill, who are you protecting by removing my post regarding the world of Saab tuning?

Honestly Sean, even the people that didn't read your post know better than that.
I for one don't think you were being mean, yanking a few chains perhaps, but do you honestly think anyone's gonna buy that load of poo?
regarding the world of Saab tuning? indeed, you're way more intelligent than that, I know, I've read way better from you. Not that it wasn't well written, just very transparent as to who you were trying to get a rise out of.
Kinda like you were fishing for this to happen, you can't honestly say you didn't know what was going to happen.

Only if moderatotors & admin agreed on doing it like that. I don't know the rules on this board for moderation. I am a moderator and admin at xlforum.net. Deleting posts has always been up to the moderator. The big admin (owner) had set forth a set of simple rules we need to follow.

You know eventually I can see this place becoming no longer enjoyable to haunt!!!!

Sounds like you are already giving up on this place. Is that what your light bulb question is about?

As long as the majority of badwebbers remain open to correction by fellow badwebbers this place will remain enjoyable and bulbs won't easily burn out.

Newfie,
Two or more options:
1. Get a lightbulb rated for 130+Volts. Longer life at 110VAC.
2. Get one of those screw-in fluorescent bulbs.
3. Get a lantern and use table scraps and yard waste to process your own fuel for the lantern.
4. Move closer to the arctic circle in the summer for maximum daylight value, closer to the antartic circle for maximum winter sunlight value.
5. Sleep when the sun goes down, wake when the sun comes up, put the computer outside and only use it when the sun is up.
6. Send your lamps to Pammy and see if she can get Wes to run the bulbs and filaments through the flowbench for maximum efficiency, if anybody can improve electron flow it is him.

There, that should about do it.

although it's unlikely the saab tuner would have ever read sean's post, it's probably to sean's benefit that it was removed because, if the saab tuner ever did get wind of it, it would not only hurt his feelings and damage his pride but also ruin the opportunity sean may have had in his covert business venture...

I invite anyone who has concerns about any actions of the custodians to contact Blake offline. Anyone is welcome to contact me offline as well, thats why I did not act anonymously (though I could have).

For the record, custodian actions are reviewed, and to a person loathe the headaches associated with having to move a post.

Mike,

I love your posts - excellent

What if I lowered the voltage but then again I bet Wes and Pammy could flow bench that bulb so efficiently it would even shine faster than the speed of light.....NASA Candidates I'd say!!!!

I have since seen the post and was probably the best what happened!!!!

Board Moderators have a challenging job to keep this diverse bunch in tune.......a very unforgiving job at the best of times.

Ya know, speaking of the speed of light, how fast is a headlight's light when standing still versus heading down the highway at 55mph? Wouldn't it be going faster than the speed of light? Or are we actually catching up with light that is going slower than the speed of light when we're riding along a freeway at 55mph?

These are thoughts I think of while riding freeways at night under a waning gibbous moon.

I've often wondered what would happen, if you were going the speed of light, and turned the head lights on. Would they shine forward, or ooze out the side and drip off the side molding?
