I find things much more tolerable in the Knowledge vault. I come to the quick board for latenight entertainment to keep me awake aqt work. Sometimes this board is better then dueling women fighting over a guy on a reality show. | ||

CJ, Who ever said I was nice, ever? Some people like to post and have fun here. Others seem to want to criticize everything I do. It wears on me after a while. I'm pretty much at the point now where anyone who doesn't appreciate the way the board is run can take a hike. I'd rather they simply shut the hell up and leave. I've never much cared for whiners. I've come to develop a serious dislike for them of late. I don't much care for cheerleaders of whiners either. Did anyone notice that B-tard insulted me in strong fashion in four separate posts spread throughout the board? And here come the critics right behind. Thanks a lot. I like the board.... People think they can insult others all they want, but maybe they should think twice. See how many insults you want to through next time you are asking for info about a problem with your bike? Personal testimony = Last month one of the mounting bolts on the front cylinder snapped off in my head. It was this board that had the info I needed to get my bike back on the road. Same with tire info, links to sponsers (that I use), and I have personally bought my saddle bags and just recently a Race ECM (at half the dealer cost) all because of this website. If Blake is the owner, show the man some respect, or go somewhere else. After all this is a Buell board, not a political discusion forum. And if anyone cares, I have veteran plates on my bike for the 4 years active duty and 2 years reserve duty I performed during Desert Storm and I got the DD-214 to back it up. | ||

Koz, I got the same advice when my stator grounded, not to mention the great friends I have made these past few years. Whoever, in a thousand years, ever thought I'd be hosting a bunch of Buellers here this past August OR ever thought I'd have Erik Buell autograph my S1. Personally I think people should lighten up, stop and smell the fresh salt sea air as it is very invigorating. There are far more serioius things to worry about in life than politics, religion and other similar crap. Maybe those topics should have their own section here on Badweb. We also should show some basic respect for others and their beliefs. Remember people we are all DIFFERENT - in every sense!!!! Blake, I can sympathize with you about getting sick of all the winers and complainers.....feels like you can do no wrong. I was once the director of a certain group and because I got so sick of people complaining I respectfully resigned the post. No matter what the executive did there were always people who thought we could do more...remember guys/gals Blake does not get paid for putting up with this crap and is doing it for the love of the community. My suggestion is that if you don't like it here then the internet is full of spots to sit an park your opinions. Lets all try to play nice.............make this an enthusiasts board we can be proud of once again. | ||

Thanks Bill (Newf). Wanna help? Ken, I always start out trying to enjoy the board. And I do still enjoy it quite a bit. Did you see the Cool Buell pics lately? Some really good stuff in there, and in the Screensaver subtopic there too. I most enjoy the racing and technical discussions: Tire grip versus HP for example, and all the pics from everyone's various rides and adventures, even Greg's (Dyna's) new car. Should we resurrect the contact patch thread? ![: ]](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/clipart/proud.gif) Or maybe the countersteering/gyroscopic effects discussion? That got real lively. Synthetic oil during break-in anyone? Trail braking? The benefits of hanging off and how to do it? Ouch, am looking at reports from Grenada on the tube; hurricane Ivan has wiped out practically the entire island, residentially speaking. Is there a current model "Hurricane" motorcycle? Buell ought grab that name if it is available. Oh yeah, back on topic... Man-up! Or as we prefer to say down here in Texas, "cowboy-up"! | ||

Today I was working at a dealership blasting graphics onto bikes. One in particular took 4 hours to "clean up" on the computer then another 2 to cut the masks, blast the parts and clean everything up. The customer remarked how cool it was and that my bike must have some sweet trickouts... I haven't had a chance to do one part on my bike yet. I have a few designs on the computer, but each time I start working on them, I end up getting more regular work in. Such problems eh? | ||

If people want to have a flame fest political discussion they can go into that section and talk or argue or whatever. What get's said there stays there and doesn't carry over. | ||

Blake; I'll second that. Before this website all the Buell info I could find came from (the now defunct) Battle2win magazine. The mechanics at most of the dealerships are a joke, or they're too busy or self-important to answer even the simplest question. Bike rags (ESPECIALLY when it comes to tubers) treat Buells like some sort of fungus. This site (and the KV in particular) is the ONLY place to go for info, opinions, ideas and pictures. And it's frequented by some pretty decent people, IMHO. There will always be loudmouths out there who will push the envelope, cross the line, and pee in your sandbox...deal with them as you will. Just want you to know there are those of us who do appreciate all the time and effort you put in to make this an interesting (and family-friendly) website. Thanks, Blake.  |
