Hello, I'm your fellow lurker on this board. I was wondering something. Why not make a seporate political section for the board? If people want to have a flame fest political discussion they can go into that section and talk or argue or whatever. What get's said there stays there and doesn't carry over. It would be better if that kinda stuff went to a board that is dedicated to that kinda stuff. Personally, I would rather not waste the space here. Besides the fact that no matter who is elected, I am still gonna ride my Buell. Now if you told me voting voting for either canidate would get me at least 4 more HP on the dyno, bring on the election! |

Blake, I think you have done a great job with the board. Im sure everyone knows its the #1 Buell board ever. I love having a little fun..ok a lot of fun..& lord knows the topics about which muffler should I choose & stuff of that nature gets real old after years & years of this. Maybe you should start another board..yea I know like you are loaded with free time..anyways it could be entirely political or perhaps just a board that has to do with anything & everything but bikes? Seems like the political aspect is a bigger passion of yours than bikes are lately. Relax, chill out & just remember that even those of us who may not always be 100% Buell positive are still on your side...well not your political affiliation side. |

There have been two topics started by the same individual that were nothing more than vulgar attacks on Blake and Bruce Lee. There hasn't been anything intelligent from this person and he has been pretty quiet since. A troll? I've read that Blake should censor the guy. I've also read that Blake censors freedom of speech, unless it's his opinion. If it would seem that Blake is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't censor. The war and political threads are clearly marked. Why move them to another site. If a person is overly sensitive why read the posts in this area? This has been mentioned by others too. If Blake feels strongly about Islam and prefers to listen to facts debated in his home, WHY NOT? Blake....I think you are doing an excellent job. Much better than I'd do. Blake....let me start by saying you have every right to stand up for a personal attack against you and your beliefs. What I sick of is the petty jabs at other people. This is the specific "straw" that broke the proverbial camels back for me: "CRW, Greg wants to argue with you too. Unbelievable. There was NOTHING in Greg's post that suggested an argument. It seems you were looking to get Greg's short hairs up AGAIN. I was just standing up for a friend and fellow rider. That is just one example of the short sightedness you've seemed to develop recently. I'll "apologize" for the poor example set in my previous post. HOWEVER, as CJ mentioned, I don't lose my cool easily. I'm just one of a number of people here that feel you've overstepped the "it's my house" boundaries. While you may have built this house, it really belongs to your sponsors (after all, they pay the bills). And in actuality, it truly belongs to those of us that support said sponsors. For we are the ones who pay their bills. I've been on BWB for longer than many of the people here. It's a great site and it will continue to be so. Let me state for the record that I appreciate all you've done to make this the best source for Buell related information on the internet. It's been invaluable to me. In addition, I've met many people here that I consider friends (Greg included). I've supported numerous causes; given my time and energy into help fellow Buellers; even co-hosted a Buell event that brought riders from all across the country to East Troy to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Buell motorcycles. Now that I've said my peace, I'll be done with this topic. Life's too short to argue. I think it's time for a ride |

apparently blake appreciates freedom of speech having left b@stards post, everyone is entitled to an opinion, i may not agree with what some people say but i respect their opinions, i am also a desert storm veteran 1-21st inf 25th ID and though i don't agree with what some may say concerning our country i will say nothing if i have nothing nice to say, also i'm a firm believer that people should'nt say anything to anybody on these boards that they would'nt say to them in person! |

The 'political' section is a great idea. I've long since learned to skip that shite. Trouble is, when searching, those political \ war threads are all stacked up in the middle of most other posts. Probably why I'm in this thread right now! Shove 'em out of the way gets my vote, and it would clean up the board and menu. Rocket |

I like the idea of having a political section, but I don't see it working. These threads take on a life of their own and fly off in so many different directions that it would be a judgement call when a thread becomes or ceases to be political or insulting or both,& whoever has to make that judgement is just going to get more carp than they need. My Mum always used to tell me "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything" sound advice I've usually found. Also as I've said before, tolerance is like Diesel, a little goes a long way, & nothing works without tolerance, any engineer will tell you that. Sorry I've run out of clichés now, oh except to say that clichés have a tendency to be based on the truth! I totally agree with Newfie on this, everybody just chill out & have a brew, (or a muffin of some description) & CJ I'd like to make gloves with you |

I've learned alot from the war/political threads,(like that I'm a dumbas*) but I'm better informed after sifting through the insults. I kinda wish New Zealand or Iceland or somewhere would do a survey on who our troops want as President. That would tell the story. I do miss the R rated thread, there was some funny stuff in there. |
