Monday, Oct 4th will be the next track day and the last one of this season.
If you missed the one this past Monday or have been wanting to do one this is your chance!
It would be great to have lots of Buells and Badwebbers there.

I can sign you up over the phone with a credit card(Visa and MC)
Or send me a check made out to Edge Performance Riding Courses

If you need gear to be able to go, now is the time to start rounding it up. I can help with that too!

Dont know now if I am going to be able to afford it. Damn truck is going to cost me about $600 to repair...gotta love the winter salt that corrodes everything. Tank straps & fuel line is getting replaced along with the pump.

Actually it was 3/4 full & the truck died in Racine. Had it towed to their shop...they have a good rep in town so figured screw it..I dont even want to mess with it.

So what would I need to participate in this track day?

I need new tires anyway, so would the Metzler Z6's I want be okay on the track? I have Joe Rocket balistic pants and a first gear jacket, I think these would work for the novice group. I have gauntlet style leather golves. Boots are the big questions, I currently just wear steel toe construction boots. So I would need a motorcycle specific boot, right?

Thanks for any info.

Nope, just wear the boots you have and duct tape the laces.
Does your jacket and pants zip together?

Thanks for the information guys.

The jacket does zip to the pants across the back. This may just be doable!

Of course, I have to tell my wife how this will make me a better, safer, more responsible rider!!

I suppose so Bomber, he's young and cute and your middle age and handsome (which is an older word for cute! : ), does make it even out, both look good in full leathers !!

CJ (shameless suck up!)

Kinger, my jacket zips to the pants with an 8" zipper across the back and that was fine. As part of tech inspection they looked at your riding gear to make sure it was okay and they were fine with mine and I ran the intermediate group.

They never looked at my gear. Just the bike.

Just before I ran into you guys.

The guy tried out my brakes & looked at the tires, that was it.

Geez, they looked at my gear, brakes, tires, head bearings, foot pegs, drain plugs, etc. I went through maybe 15 minutes before you at the most. Must have been a different guy or he just stopped caring.

Griz...Ever think that you got the special treatment because Buell Tubers tend to look "home made?" LOL

Granted yours isn't and is a fine example of a Tuber, but the look is still there right off the production line. IMO, that is one of the design elements that attracted many to them in the first place.

I never thought of it like that. Knowing what a lot of people think of our bikes, I guess I'm surprised he didn't just hand me a bottle of Loctite and tell me to come back when I'm finished.

Actually would like to and getting familiar with the local track and folks was the intention this week. Has been a very long time since I rode on a track and that was much less structured than the recent event.

Still toying with the idea of selling the X1. If I don't, I will pick up a suit and some duct tape and see you there.

It would be greatly appreciated if you would post some links where I can get read the rules and regs. Particularly, the bike requirements for safety inspection.

Thanks
