And my battery died. What a P.O.S. Typical Buell Quality. Next thing you know, the tires will start wearing out before I get 12,000 miles out of them.
Actually, four years is a new record for me. None of the previous batteries in any of my bikes ever lasted more than two years. I wanted to do a rant on it, but I'm just not up to it tonight. It's 85 degrees and the humidity is up, so my energy level is low. Four years (and 38,000 miles) is still freakin' impressive, though.

I had one of the crappy batteries too. Only lasted 3 years and 4 months.

I remember when I was lucky to get 2 years out of a battery.

Those Harley batteries are absorbed glass matt, very cool technology. And for what they are, the Harley price is not bad.

You may have a chance for a rant yet though, it could be the stator, thats what it turned out to be when I thought mine was toast.

I checked the stator. It's putting out 52 volts, like the Manual says it should. I figured that if I didn't, that's what it would turn out to be. Plus, both OZ and Newfie had stator problems, so I was a little paranoid. Oz's bike spent the night in the garage next to mine, and the Cyclone might have caught it from the Thunderbolt. But it's just old age. (1 battery year = 4 dog years = 28 human years; or something like that)
