The Cx CityCrosser is a bike that gets me amped up. It *is* a CITY Crosser and well. . . I am right here in Gotham.

I've visions of blasting down 2nd Avenue for homemade cheesecake, to Arthur Avenue in the Bronx to pickup some pasta (great pics of the Cx parked in front of the Apollo Theatre?) or lounging under the Brooklyn Bridge leaned against a graffiti strewn wall at 1AM under a full moon.

This bike would be GREAT in New York City!

And stolen faster than an unlocked X5 in the bronx after 9 PM...

Where do you put the lock, chain, U, etc...??? I know I'm being overly practical however security is a must for city usage.

MikeJ, Hal's had a Confederate with a 124" S&S motor, pushing 167HP at the rear wheel. Running mid to high 8s in the 1/4 mile on the dyno drag.

That thing was nice! : )

I could park it here, key still in the ignition, jaywalk across the street to the coffee shop, sit in front for an hour go back and it still will be there.

Oh yeah, I can do that anyway.

I think it a nice new concept I hope will attract some new riders.

The CityX has (I think) the 12 airbox, the 12 throttle bodies, larger front forks, and a better seat (unless you are short). The jury is out as to if the tires are better, or just different.

There is also a "mystery hole" threaded in the front forks, it looks like a mounting point for a second brake line. No idea why it is there, it needs a second rotor like I need a hole in the head.

You can call the handguards goofy, I call them "one more month of riding per year in Ohio".

It is definately not for everyone, but I sure want one.

Steve,
that's the one I was looking at.

RT,
Thanks. Sort of what I wondered.

I wonder if that rear suspension setup would retrofit to a 'tuber Buell. Considering that I was "offered" $1000-$1500 trade-in for the S2 last night I won't be getting a Confederate nor a CityX anytime soon. The offer for the M2 wasn't much better.
"the whole was" is apparently worth "less than the sum of the parts", at least in the current Buell market. Bummer really.

Newfie - Since in Newfoundland human population density is about 1/1000000th of the seagull population, I guess it wouldn't be much of a problem...

If Court want's to give it a try in NYC, best of luck to him and his premiums...

roger dodger, Thang -- gotcher email, too . . . gimme about a month, OK?

Mike -- the S2 will come up in bring, I'm thinkin, over time, the MaDeuece likely never will, but, heck, you own em, might as well enjoy em, yes?

btw, if you are really hankering to build something, there are lots of neat things to do, if you are willing to stray from an HD powered scoot . . . . a lot buck sled is very do-able with a power plant from elsewhere (but you already know that

Yep, know that, got a casual eye on some potential engine and parts donors just have to wait until the time is right to make an offer. Missed on one deal already. Thinking low and semi-long, but not as long as a Semi. ; )
And know that about the sleds in possession as well, just sometimes available hardware is easier bargain with than unavailable cash is.

Nope, wasn't me. My S2 doesn't have that sort of power yet, and isn't that color of bike.

Yeah, he definately had some work done. Consider he had 4 more HP than I do on my S3T with the race kit. I know it had thunderstorm heads on it.
