"Perhaps, but it clearly seems to depend on adding bunch of qualifiers to statements made rather than simply say you misspoke."
I know what I said. It is posted above. Plain simple English. You show me where I mispoke, I'll happily admit to it. Where did I misspeak Jason? I need not provide any qualifiers to my statements. My statements, taken in context, stand perfectly well and clear on their own. Your attempt to mischaracterize my statements is what required further demonstration/rebutta. You no read good.

Greg,
Every time you claim that I said I would win you are lying. Even after having your false statements revealed as such, you continue to promote them as fact. Thus, you are a liar, someone willfully and knowingly making false statements.

I have not lied in this forum; if you want to imply that I am a liar by saying that "you still insist on calling people liars. Better look in the mirror", I must insist you back up that assertion immediately.

My money is still on the race rubber at any track that's not too close in shape and characteristics to Monza...

Lemme look up some lap times...

Okay...lets just all go to Texas and end this grade school qwibbling for good.

BTW...this will be my last post (I can't say only right now because I'm too lazy to back track. I wouldn't want to be accused of lying) on this subject. It's getting WAY to sophmoric (and I'm being polite calling it that civilized)

Good ole Blake is now going to play the semantics game. Since he doesnt use the actual word & only infers to winning then it doesnt count.

Blake:
How about this... Me and my race rubber shod Cyclone on any track versus you on your R1 with street tires?

Is that a challenge stating you feel you will lose?? I dont know of anyone who issues challenges they feel they cant "win".

For crap's sake, Blake, give it a rest. Try to to find one other person who didn't take the very first post as you saying that the M2 with race tires would beat the R1 with street tires. You're scrambling trying to find a loophole and starting to embarrass yourself.

Stay out of the sun little worm.
You no read good.

Blake, honestly, perhaps you might want to consider taking the rest of the day off from posting until you calm down and can debate without resorting to name calling and slams on the intelligence of others. It's pretty childish. "If I don't like what you say I'll just call you stupid." Somehow I think some of the folks from the war and politics threads are enjoying this.

Dyna?
Heck it's only a little farther down the road than Kansas. We can take my Expedition, I'm not riding that far in a Ranger.

Oh yea...Blackhawk farms is 1.95 miles & OHR is 1.80 miles. I dont know how long the individual straight lenghts are....but looking at the maps it appears the OHR doesnt have any..it is a B-trax course.

You wanna race on a go-cart track come to RA, we have 1 there inside of the track.

Like I stated earlier, you know where I am & there are plenty of tracks here or we can hit Topeka, VIR, etc etc. Claiming your "home" track as some sort of equalized venue is chicken5hit.

So, are we going to Texas now?

I will gladly help drive, i have a little time off, but the trailer needs to be big enuff for the FXDX, if i am going south i want to ride a little

On another foot note, Blake was kind enuff to offer up his home if we were to make our way down there, so out of poket expense would be gas, and track fees, i would be glad to get down there, and will be happy to drive, however i do not have a tow vehicle at this time, but i can drive, clean record and a CDL to boot
tell me when a where, come on Dyna, you can rest the entire trip down and be ready for the battle of the hot heads
Winner is the steer
looser is the queer

Bwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Never going to happen
Fun watching it go down

Screw those other TX tracks. Get your a$$es down to Texas World Speeday which is 2.9 miles. I will be doing my second track day on Sep 6th there and I can tell you even with my meager 95hp I am fricking scared going down the front straight at 130mph then slamming it down into turn one off the high banking. Yea,I get passed by a lot of bikes especially in the straights but NOBODY can beat the sound a Buell with a Force exhaust system makes at 130mph!!

Dredging up the discussion about grip versus HP is simply another way to weasel out of backing up your big mouth.

Either back up your mouth or don't. If you don't care to back up your big mouth, then that will reflect on you, not me.

Following are the statements I've made on the grip versus HP discussion that raged in the 172mph Thread. I think they show clearly the true nature of my comments...

quote:

How about this... Me and my race rubber shod Cyclone on any track versus you on your R1 with street tires? That might be a good race even at Road America. Who do you think would win, assuming we are relatively equal in ability? : )
From... My post on Wednesday, July 07, 2004 - 12:04 am

then later...

Greg obviously believes that HP far outweighs tire compound. I'm not sure,... I think it would be an interesting investigation. . . . I don't know what the outcome would be, but I bet it would be a lot closer than some imagine. . . . The R1 is by far a superior racing machine, but without grip its only advantage is top speed. ... Like I said, it would be interesting.
From... My post on Wednesday, July 07, 2004 - 06:06 pm

If you want to equate my comments above to a statement like...

"you aint got a hope in hell of keeping up with the R1 on the track...race rubber or not"

I'll have to disagree and will question your ability to comprehend the written word.

If you choose to state that "You claim your superior tires will win", or that "You said your tires on your bike would negate any hp difference between the R1 & the M2" when I have said no such things, I will call your attention to the mischaracterizations, and should you continue to defend the falsehoods despite my objections, I will call you a liar. Not much is more irritating than to have someone misrepresent your statements and then when you point out their error/mischaracterization, they deny it and seek to argue about it!!! You are basically calling me a liar in public. I take that very seriously. Especially when such assertions impugning my integrity are not true.

Who's being honest here...

Greg says...

quote:

"The wife is bringing a lap timer so I can track progress."

Posted on Saturday, August 21, 2004 - 08:56 am by R1DynaSquid

But when asked about his lap times, Greg says...

quote:

"And best lap time? Dont know, wasn't keeping track & didnt care."

Posted above on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 - 07:09 am by R1DynaSquid

My respect for you is waning. Time to step up and be honest Greg. This debate is a about silly issue not worth arguing over. It should be a fun discussion, not an angry confrontation. When you chose to lie and impugn my word here, I justifiably reacted angrily.

I freely admit when I am wrong, numerous examples abound testifying to that. It's time you learned that being wrong is not the end of the world. You won't dry up and blow away. In fact, your credibility and integrity will increase in the eyes of thoughtful people.

I cannot recall you ever admitting that you were wrong about anything. That is a problem. Suggest you seek therapy.

I cannot recall you ever admitting that you were wrong about anything.

That is laughable. You are the one who has never ever admitted to being wrong about anything. You are the bestest rider, have the bestest bike, your candidate of choice is the bestest, you can debate the bestest, etc.

Anyone who disagrees with you is labeled a "liar".

You made the challenge & then you want to attach all types of stipulations to it.

Beginning to think Cecil/Brian is right about you.

I am more than willing to pay...to Topeka or Colorado. Not racing on anyones home turf. Homefield advantage is a no-no, & anyone who claims it doesnt matter is full of 5hit.

Blake does not want to race on any track other than OHR, whereas I am willing to race on any track except that one. Tell me who's being bullheaded?

The kind of characterizations and the integrity of information that you choose to contribute here is perfectly represented by your inane statement above that "(OHR) is a B-trax course."

If 1.8 mile OHR with motorcycle lap record of 1:22.5 is a Battle Trax course, what is 1.3 mile Pike's Peak with a lap record just over 1 minute?
Are the AMA Pro Superbike racers competing on a B-Trax course?

Ok, how about a split. One round at OHR and one round at Blackhawk? Heck, if it's a tie, you two can pick a third track as a tie breaker.

what ever happened to :

I'm thinking we should only see one more post from each Dyna and Blake on the subject - accepting or declining the race.

this has gotten to be a HUGE debate, when it was just a simple way to quell the topic.

Just have Dyna say Yes, or No
And Blake yes, or No

DONE

Then Pick the track, and STOP ARGUING! your worse than me and my older sister.....Which is REALLY BAD

Now zipp back up and lets all Hugg.....

"Blake does not want to race on any track other than OHR, whereas I am willing to race on any track except that one. Tell me who's being bullheaded?"

You apparently missed my prior challenge...

quote:

I'll gladly meet Greg during any CMRA race weekend at OHR, Motor Sports Ranch (Cresson, TX, near Ft. Worth) or Hallet (near OK City).

and...

quote:

So here is MY very simple and straight forward challenge to you Greg:

Since you think I don't have a "hope in hell" of lapping a track faster than you on your R1 even on street tires, I hereby challenge you to back up that assertion. I hereby challenge you to race me at any of the CMRA events at any of the three tracks that I mentioned above, two of which I've never seen let alone ridden. If you either finish ahead of me or run a quicker lap than my best lap, I'll pay for your race entry fee.

2004 CMRA Schedule

Next year's schedule will be very similar.

Sounds to me like we have a race. Next race (after this weekend, no I am not entering) at Motorsports Ranch in Cresson, TX is the weekend of October 9-10. Rider's school and practice on Saturday, practice and 8 lap sprint races on Sunday. Just say the word, me and the Buell will be there wearing some nice new full soft DOT racing tires.

Next chance other than OHR would likely be in May of next year.
