I believe you can delete your own posts within a particular window of time.

There is a small window of opportunity to delete your post here.

OK, look right. See the icons. The first is edit, the second is delete post, the third is view post/check IP, the fourth icon is admin only... These buttons are only able to be used for a few days, in case you want to change the color of your post, make gramatical corrections, or delete it all together, you know after "thinking" about things...

Class dismissed...

I cant recall right now, but on the tube frame bikes, does the elbow that comes off the exhaust header stay on when you install a slipon muffler?

Reason I ask is I did an inventory of parts for my bike & my exhaust elbow is missing. Header & can are there tho. I want to say most slipon exhaust utilize that stock elbow section & bolt on directly to it. Is that elbow still available or do you have to purchase an entire exhaust header?

My stock muffler has the elbow attached. The header ends on a straight.

Dyna; Glad to see you back
The stock can has the elbow attached, as Kelly said. The elbow you're thinking of is part of the aftermarket can kit.

Spoke with the dealership today & they cannot locate any of my missing parts. How do you misplace a seat, chin spoiler, air box, etc etc?

Why couldnt they have made it ez for me & just misplaced the entire bike??

The cosmetic parts are probably stuffed into a bin someplace. Haven't they moved their building contents at least once or twice since this whole thing started?
I do believe your case is getting stronger with each new surfacing incident, on oh so many levels.

I kind of wonder if any of your stuff got accidently sold during one of their clearance sales. Wouldn't there be a record of some sort, a sale of inventory record, that should be open to a supoena or discovery writ of some sort (whatever the legal terminology is)?

Un-friggen-believable!!!! I can't beleive they could just "misplace" that many parts. The chin spoiler and airbox parts probably ended up as "replacement" parts for a crashed/dropped bike. As for the aftermarket seat, I don't understand how that disappears yet the bike is "delivered" to you with a stock seat. Where did that come from?

Looks like you'll have another court visit to get that resolved.

Let me say I'm VERY happy to have 3 great Buell dealers in my area: D

Dyna...one word...Ebay! I wouldn't be surprised if someone in the past 12 or so months slipped your parts onto Ebay and pocketed a bit of change. That would be pouring some salt into the wound!

No I doubt that but what mikej said is probable. And also the fact that the bike has been moved around quite a bit since they have built the new dealership.Hell Dyna knows the bike has been taken apart and laying there unassembled since.5hit Dyna those parts could be anywhere now.

Heck, they probably sold the parts to offset the cost of storage for two years. LMAO

This is really looking good for you Dyna,

Add the Retailer to the Statement of Claim if you already have not and have it amended to reflect the negligence in losing the parts. The bike should have been returned to you in similar condition as well. Disassembled is good because you don't have to do this now but if parts are missing they at least owe you comparable pieces whether they be used or new.

This has really turned into a big mess even more than the initial problem. I'd even consider going for loss of use, etc, etc, etc......

One other piece of advice for you (And I am not telling you how to proceed)

I would stop posting about this whole thing until its resolved. If you have a couple of close friends you want to keep in the loop do it by private e-mails.

I have been on the defence side of many claims while I worked as a claims investigator and that is just my opinion.

Good Luck

I agree with this statement, However, now the folks at Buell at least know(we all know they read this board) how bad the said dealer is, how poorly they handle they Buell, how little they care about there customers, what a poor example they have set fourth in there area, so on and so on, and while it has been saud before, at least they now see it first hand

If this whole thing had happened to me I would be posting 10 times more, sending daily emails to Buell corp, and picking outside the dealership.

Or for as long as the dealership was still standing.

The old saying "The squeaky wheel gets the grease" is so true but there comes a time when it becomes an annoyance and then its up to the legal system to "Change the wheel bearing".......

I am certain that Buell and Harley PR people read this board and probably many others but you know the ones they probably listen to are the ones that go to them in a logical, polite manner.

Once again when I was in the claims business and had someone that was a annoyance as in phoning 10 times a day, showing up at the office, etc, etc I would strongly recommend that they retain legal counsel as it was obvious that we could not resolve the issues. The ones who were polite and reasonable always walked away with the best solutions.

Just my thoughts once again!!!!

Having a lot of those lately - starting to get scary in my head!!!!
