I probably won't be riding out there, to boring of a ride . what would be cool tho is to have a trailor with someone to drive and then when we hit good areas....untrailor and ride...then when it gets flat and boring trailor up.

I am like you I have to see motogp...the best of the best period.

Iamike has it right Kansas, flat, no trees, wind blows all the time. I was born there and am glad to be gone. Arkansas & Missouri have great roads no Deal's Gap but better than Fly, TN!

Roger...I've been thinking more about the MotoGP race deal. Here's my idea:

Get about 6 people together and rent a motorhome. They cost about $1500 for the week (not including gas, milage, etc). I figured a rough estimate of rental, gas & milage for 6ppl would be about $650/person for a week. I might have a trailer connection (depending on his job status at that time). Otherwise, I'm sure we could find a large enough trailer to rent.

The nice thing about the RV is that we already have a place to stay; we have enough people to make it a straight trip easy direction; all around cheaper than trying to do this in smaller groups.

What do ya think????

I think you should haul your sorry asses up to CANADA.

We all rent a couple of Houseboats up on the Lakes for a week.

I think i have a better idea, but the wife may not be up to it, plus i am considering 2 weeks(1 week before 1 week after) and another thing, as always happens it may be hard to get 8 guys to go, 50 wils say they want to go, but the reality is usally much smaller, plus motorhome camping at the track is going to be a tuff deal, the real question is going to be whos going for real, who is willing to put down a deposit, and a bunch of other stuff
we still have a year, so no rush, plus there is nothing in writing yet, so it could get cancelled
who knows

There's 3ppl. Does anyone want to make a solid committment? I'm willing to arrange the trailer.

The reservation deposit on the RV from Cruise America is only $300. I'll pitch in my share of the reservation.

Tripper's on to something.

The North Georgia mountains and T.W.O. would be perfect.
Roads just like Deal's Gap without the cops and congestion.

i refuse to subject my wife to the likes of Mr. Grumpy in an RV for 4500 miles, if you throw in the cook and insurance sales man, than all bets are off
Here is the bad news, most hotels seem booked up, or out of this world expensive, so camping(if there is no RV) seems to be the only reasonable alternative, so all you girls out there better get your camping gear ready(something else to consider, after 2100 miles in an RV with a french/english man, and insurance salesman who gets drunk once every 6 months, and you can count on more than once on this trip and NO fish and chips afterwards, a cook who is required to scream when talking, an individual who is required to eat at each stop,tape worm i belive a tent might be a nice get away) : )

if it wasn't 2 weeks I'd be in, plus we know I can scream and cook, and yes I get drunk more regular than every 6 months(infact I am in continual training)

but I can't do 2 weeks....crap

I was thinking between 7-10 days. The biggest obstecle is getting the RV reservation EARLY. That is prime vacation time.

Here's a dealer close to me with rentals...
RV Rental The class A is the one we'd really want (usually diesel motor).

As I stated before, the approx. cost per person would be $650-700 for rental, mileage & gas. That would be a 10 day rental with some potential additional costs (campsite & trailer rental).

BTW....who's the cook?

At that price it would be VERY expensive for the likes of Newfie & me, But I may have a cheaper solution, need to talk to Roger first tho;

As to the last question, I can't tell you that, cos I'm just a cook too!

ReRead Bubba, i was asking if it was going to be 2 weeks or 1 week, 10 days sounds aout right, and there is no reason that you couldnt meet us out there, not to worry, let me know what you can do, see the problem is there are these, well, strangers that come from far off lands, some apear to be English, yet reside in france,but drive mopars,i could not make this stuff up, i never saw a pic of Mr. Grumpys wife but i did see a pic of his d-100, in france no less)
I have no doubts we will get this off, and Bubba something i learned from my last trip out, everyone came at different times and were gone at different times, but when we were together, it was a ball, please remeber that

Dennis drop me an email, i lost your extra special one

BTW....who's the cook?

Its a long story, once Alex is done with his story i will post mine, and while not actually factual, you will understand more than

At that price it would be VERY expensive for the likes of Newfie & me

You have too understand Dennis, these people dont deal in real money, some of its purple

But I may have a cheaper solution, need to talk to Roger first tho;

School hasnt started so getting ahold of teachers is tuff, i did not forget, but patience is a virtue, i did however, over the weekend find a 72(the other one you were looking for) down state and its a convert???interested
tell you more later
