"There is no mistake & no mischaracterization. You said your tires on your bike would negate any hp difference between the R1 & the M2."

You are a liar.

Well CJ you show me where I ever stated that I would "win" or that racing tires would "win" against R1 HP, and I'll rescind my accusation.

Say what you mean, mean what you say.

Words have meanings. I try to use words very carefully to express precisely what I mean.

I never stated anything about racing tires on my Cyclone winning/beating/defeating R1 HP or anything of the sort. That is a gross mischaracterization of my views and my statements.

It is not a difference of opinion when someone makes false claims concerning my statements, and I resent when others seek to mischaracterize my statements/views, especially when it is to try to weasel out of a check their big mouth has written but which they are unwilling to cash.

Same old crap. Big mouth, followed by excuses, prevarication and now unfortunately lies. Put up or shut up.

I'm a simple man with simple values. Greg asserted that "You claim your superior tires will win" I never claimed anything of the sort. Just more weaseling out of having to back up his big mouth.

This whole line of debate is ridiculous and I've let it drag me down to the level of inane internet nattering of which some here are so fond.

Greg,
Yep, OHR is the only track I've ridden. According to you I don't have "a hope in hell of keeping up with the R1 on the track...race rubber or not", so that should not be an issue. Put up or shut up. Coward.

Blake, me hsving or not having a lap timer at the track has absolutely nothing to do with this. We were running late that morning & simply forgot it...along with the extra gas can.

Thats not the point so quit trying to change the subject. You can have 100 lap timers, I have not & never will back down from a challenge. You stated point blank your tires would be the deciding factor & you would prevail in race. Then you want to change the venue & have it at that go-cart track.

I expected as much tho, you did the same exact thing with cecil.

Until you can accept the challenge at Topeka this subject is closed.

Not for nothing, but Topeka would be a very poor track for a Buell.

I've been on that track (figuratively and literally) a number of times.

If I were in this pissin' match and riding a Buell, I'd avoid tracks with looooooooooooooooooong straights and head straight to Streets of Willow where I taught school to some whiners one day.

Willow is as much "Buell skewed" as Topeka is toward the R1.

I notice that Blake has not posted on the "Put up or shut up" thread. I think it's clear from the first three quotes on there what Blake was saying. No wonder he likes Bush so much. Don't like the competition? Just call them a liar and that solves everything!

I say who gives a crap about any of it!!! Good idea to get pissed off at eachother, then when and if the day ever comes, & I bet it won't, you crash eachother out or worse and the argument still isn't settled! You both have good points. On a fairly short tight track, I'd say the Buell does have the advantage, but on a longer sweeping track with longer straights, I think the R1 would smoke you. A lot has to do with rider skill, but there ain't no replacement for displacement and horsepower and the R1 has the advantage in the
HP. There is a reason why Buell isn't in MotoGP.But also Yamaha wouldn't be doing that well if they didn't have Rossi in the saddle. I still say your compairing apples to bannanas. Both bikes accell at what the were designed for and thats that!

Blake, I read just fine thanks. Let's try this again:

Blake:
How about this... Me and my race rubber shod Cyclone on any track versus you on your R1 with street tires? That might be a good race even at Road America. Who do you think would win, assuming we are relatively equal in ability?

Dyna:
R1.
With equal riders the rubber wouldnt make that big of a difference at a big hp track like RA.

Blake:
Heheheheh. Not only wrong but so wrong you wouldn't believe it.

"the rubber wouldnt make that big of a difference at a big hp track like RA."}

As in not enough to offset the horsepower. You're an intelligent guy, that is exactly the context of that statement, don't try to spin it any other way.

Put any weasal words in there you want, but you did make the claim and I think you'd be hard pressed to find somebody else to say otherwise. And yes, you did say on several occassions that you didn't know what the outcome would be but not until after the above statements were made. If you are rescinding the above, then just say so and give the narcissism a rest.

And I'm not cheerleading for Greg, just calling em like I see em.

Oh and BTW, thanks for including the personal insult that you rail on everyone else for while trying to add spin to your words. And let's keep politics out of this perfectly good pissing contest shall we?

Long straights?? We looking at the same track Court? This isnt RA.

Hell, if its going to be that way then just have Reg set up a B-trax course in the parkinglot.

Topeka would be a neutral track & Dave is in. Lets do it.

I showed you, so now will you rescind? Or will you spin this one too as CJ wasn't the one to show you?

Damn uwgriz, you were just too quick for me !!

I said what I meant, and meant what I said !! I felt your were being insulting to uwgriz and he can read just fine, he's intelligent and he isn't a cheerleader for anyone !!

I can see where Jason got the idea and suggested maybe the problem was how you communicated not his reading skills !!

No matter how hard you try you can't ALWAYS be right, nor is everyone else ALWAYS wrong !! Maybe sometimes you could concede or at least see it from another's view and acknowledge that it could have been an misunderstanding, not just that everyone who misunderstands you is STUPID !!!

And don't nitpick me, I know you didn't type Jason or anyone else is "stupid" and sure you can prove that to me, but you certainly seem to be trying to imply that !

Again Geeeezzzzz !!

Sorry, CJ, I guess I just get defensive when someone implies that I can't read after 17 years of schooling. I guess when all else fails, some simply come out swinging. Thanks for defending my reading ability, though! Besides, I haven't seen anyone else even hint that they took Blake's words any differently.

Uwgriz I was actually defending you period, but I can't argue with a brick wall !!

There's just no point, other than being mean, to always make trying to correct someone or defending your views, sound arrogant and insulting !!

Believe it or not there are LOTS of intelligent people who post here, not just ONE or TWO !!! And sometimes there is no wrong or right, simply two different viewpoints !! Maybe Blake honestly believes he's right, but so can someone else, why can't they without being insulted !!

You are a liar. I never stated any such thing.

John,
I call it like I see it. In this case, Greg asserting that I said anything about "winning" is a lie. Pretty damn simple. I do not use the word lightly. I had not seen the "Put up or shut up thread". Have since posted there.

Court's actually got a great idea. Just expand upon it a little.

The BWB Triple Crown

There are three road tracks at Willow Springs Raceway. The main track is Willow Springs, the tight track is the Streets of Willow and there is a new track, the name escapes me, that is sort of SuperMoto oriented, which would be like riding your favorite country roads (The Gap, Wisconsin's Kettle Moraine, The Angeles Crest, etc.). Best 2 out of three wins the Crown.

Now the trick is to get BRAG involved so we can all use Daily Direct to transport our bikes and get us the track time. Only those two would be allowed to race, the rest of us get to watch and then putt the tracks later.

Figure two days at Willow Springs and then do a BRAG Style Road Trip with a different hotel each night. It's like Party Time in the Motorcycle Capital of the US of A!!!

Lots more ideas and events to supplement this concept but this could be a once in a lifetime event! Sort of like our own "Fly'n'Ride."

Anyone interested???
