Seven of us on six bikes left from Hal's in New Berlin shortly after 11 a.m. CJ_xb, R1Dynasqid, Wyckledflesh, Grapejuice, Ron and his wife Bernie (sp?), and myself.

We decided to superslab it up to Appleton. We stopped in Fond du Lac for gas and lunch. I thought it would be a good idea to ask the gas station attendent where a good place to eat was. They may have recommended a good place but it wasn't open when we got there. Ron suggested Smitty's Oar House near his parents place. Funny thing was Dyna and I heard house and CJ heard Warehouse.

After lunch we hti the highway again. Had an interesting gapers delay that caused some to take evasive maneuvers, but all arrived at the event in one piece.

Now for the pictures:

THe bikes lined up at lunch.

I crawled out of the garage about an hour and a half ago. Man, was I beat! First off, staying out till 3:00 am doesn't help much for riding the next day. Second, I was fighting a real strong south wind almost all the way back. It was blowing from left to right and a few times I thought I was gonna end up in the ditch. Other than the wind I had great weather. Much warmer than Saturday and sunny the whole way.

It was a great weekend. I'm really glad I went! Hope everyone has a good track day tomorrow. I would have liked to gone to that but the timing didn't work out for me.

Wyckedflesh, How do you like that Contiforce? I didnt get much mileage out of mine, but for the money, I thought it was a great tire.

Really appreciate the photo's Greg, someday, somehow, I want to be able to meet these freaks in person and I'll have the advantage of knowing who they are while they have no idea who I am....

The pic of the stunt team bike with the two guys behind it in wheelchairs is priceless!

Ok my pics will have to wait til tomorrow. I just stumbled through the door with a grand total of 1035+ miles round trip. Took 2 detours to avoid major construction back ups on the way home that I avoided on the way to Appleton by going through at 6am. The detours were worth it. Total of 8.5 hours ride time home. I am feeling it. My recap will have to wait though but I do want to say thanks to Dyna, CJ, Grape, Kinger, Aaron and Bernie for meeting me at Hal's and the GREAT company to ride with. To Dave, Penny and Bobbie, great bike show, was more then well worth the ride there. To the rest of the badwebbers I met, it was really cool meeting you all, hopefulyl next time I won't be so roadlagged and will be more conversational : )

Kelly...I will answer this here...I made a post on the XB board about how I really liked the Conti...well I have truly revised this opinion...IT FARKING SUCKS BIG GREEN HAIRY DONKEY...well you get the idea. It has according to my log just over 2000 miles on the rear and it is now squirmy (pressure hasn't changed so don't say its low) squaring up badly, cupping badly, cupping bad enough to serve beer out of...needless to say I will be voicing my opinion to Conti about it. I bought them due to it being listed as a sport touring tire on their site at the time I ordered them. The Road Attack wasn't available here at that time. If it had I would have ordered it instead.

(edit note:Thanks Dave, sorry about that Bobbie, brain is jello right now...)

Seemed like a Badweb rally to me. Got to BS with Outrider and Sardawg, both really cool to talk to. Got to chat with wycked a little, cool dude as well.

I felt bad about volunteering and not really contributing, but it was kind of a cluster. there was only a couple non-buells in the show, and all the Buells kinda lined up at once, so there wasnt much to do, with Sar and Outrider doing most of the work. then the hals groups showed up and showed total disregard for the system we had, and that was kinda the end of it.

There were a bunch of squids in and out during the day, most of them saying good things about the Buells. All of them revving way up and doing wheelies as they left. I only saw one good one, by a 929, the rest just made noise. I think at one point there was more R1s there than Buells total, but a good crowd. Dave never missed a beat, glad-handing and schmoozing, that guys a pro.

the scene, was packed with some rice in the near corner, but I took this picture after they left. The tent in the background was a rogans shoes tent, I was glad i didnt have any room to take shoes home cause the wife was shopping.

Buells in the show

Chads clean 9R

Bills clean X1

notice the couple checking out the sweet M2

beautiful S2, pics dont do it justice, paint was gorgeous, had a blue pearl in it.

stuntriders on minibikes, looked like a lot of fun, these guys were doing circle wheelies, right next to the show linup, had me worried a couple times, but no crashes

Hey Greg, i thought your plates said U2SLO, not I2SLO??

Chad had Buells in one row, and imports in the other, all facing outward, and lined up nicely. all the non show bikes where off to the side. they came in and parked on the end, in a pack. it was later on, not a big deal at all, as the lot was getting full, I just thought id mention it to ruffle some feathers. wycked fixed his, again, cool guy.

some guy showed up on an import harley look alike with orange flames, parked in the wrong row, so he started it, and revved it up and rode it forward six feet. i thought it was hilarious.

then the hals groups showed up and showed total disregard for the system we had

Disregard is wrong because that sounds as if we KNEW and didn't care and that's positively not true !!

I followed the group, and then moved my bike out of the area behind the yellow tape altogether when ask and glad to do so.

We just didn't KNOW what the system was !! There wasn't anyone in Hal's group that wouldn't have done whatever we could, we were just excited to be there !!

Maybe instead of posting a negative comment here after the fact Socoken could have come over when we pulled up, said hello and explained the situation to us ?? It certainly shouldn't have been the end to it, not what any of us would have wanted !!

"I just thought id mention it to ruffle some feathers."

looks as though i have succeeded. seriously though, just kidding. i know you guys came a long way, and you all looked very ready to dismount and relax. like i said, it was towards the end of things, and it didnt matter so much. I was right there, but to ask you guys to move seemed unnecessary. did not mean it to be negative, sorry to have portrayed otherwise.

Fuscat(Derek) and I made it home without any "incidents" took the scenic route back through Waterloo. We hung out and watched the battletrax and stunt show stuff before continuing south. No I didn't compete....but I did some laps.....

Dave, Just wanted to let you know we had a great time. It was really cool to meet all of the badwebbers and others mentioned above, and to see the few I had previously encountered in other locales..... what a crew!

We stopped at the factory in East Troy on the way up, for a few pictures, couldn't get in.... forgot my lockpick.

Arrived at Appleton HD around 2:00 and it was a ghost town, Derek thought we had the wrong weekend, I suggested the wrong state.... directed to the mall shortly thereafter....

we started our trek home shortly after the winners of the tat contest were announced. all in all a super weekend! lots of miles....right at about 1500 roundtrip.

great pics everyone.
