YEAH baby!!!

I'll still probably go to the FX race instead though. Maybe both, but if only one it'll be FX.

Overpriced, and not worth the effort of going IMO.

crust with all respect....WHAT!

ama 3 days would be close to that price, and lets be honest moto gp is just the best of the best.
not slacking ama but ask any of those guys where they would really wanna prove themselves. But yes all the expenses are gonna be high to get there and hang for 3 days.

I was hoping for barber but it didn't happen

I agree that the riders are some of the best roadracers in the world, and I wouldn't mind seeing a GP, but not at those prices. GP bikes have little to do with real street machines (in spite of Honda's claim that a 1000 cc I4 is the direct descendant of a 1000cc V5) I also think that the AMA gives you a lot more for your money. On a typical weekend, you get FX, Supersport, Superstock and usually 2 Superbike races. What support races will be at Laguna?
I'll stay home and watch it on TV and save my money for the Springfield Mile.

So what other support races will be at the Mile???
other than the short track

And for me at least, there has never been a better rider than Valintino Rossi, plus the mile will be there every year, GP may not be back for another decade, not to Dis you or anything, but i guess that's why there are so many forms of racing, to each his own

Springsteen, Parker and the rest of the boys would eat Rossi for lunch. Nicky Hayden on a very trick RS750 Honda couldn't win the Mile. I've seen a GP live and found it kind of dull. "Hey, wait, he's gaining on the guy in front of him. I think he's gonna pass him! Wow! Someone actually passed someone!"
As far as support races, there are Scratch heats, four heat races, three semis and the Main. With GP you can watch guys ride around the track in no order to see who sets fast time, then you get to see one race. There's a good reason why GP racing left the US; it was overpriced and unexciting.
If I could only see one race for the rest of my life, it would be Springfield.

Come on, you know if they could do that, they would make the jump, lees for the sport and more for the money, tell me how high did Carr finish on the VR1000, knowing that M.D. put it on the podium

Nicky Hayden on a very trick RS750 Honda couldn't win the Mile.

Nope, kinda of a shame really, it was the only race he didnt win, won the short track and the TT, one race away from a grand slam, that would have been the first time in how many years???

"Hey, wait, he's gaining on the guy in front of him. I think he's gonna pass him! Wow! Someone actually passed someone!"

In that same vain, the mile seems like Nascar, roound and round they go, making only left hand turns, i think it was Ben Bostrom, who after his win at one of the SBK tracks was asked why he did so well, his answer "it goes left"

As far as support races

I dont count qualifiers as support races, not in the mile not at the TT not in Moto GP, i do however question whats going to be going on for 3 days if only moto gp is racing, better stock up on B complex, the hangover sat and sunday is going to be brutal

They are working it out now but I practically GUARANTEE you the AMAPR will be hosting these races. Therefore you will have the Superbike / Formula Exxxtreme races too and if they dont go to battle over the winter there will be one or both of the Superstock/Supersport classes. The Problem with Formula Extreme running the Daytona 200 miler is becoming evident however....

http://venus.13x.com/roadracingworld/scripts/NewsInsert.asp?insert=10366

Since the Buells had to add auxillary gas tanks in their tailsection just to make the 62 mile range! However the 600's hold up to 4.8 gallons versus the 3.8 gallons of the XB bikes, makes me think they will have a mandatory 3 stop race there.Definetely will be a GREAT racing year so start making plans to see the Laguna Race.As in past years come Hell or High water(OK , maybe not really High water!)we'll be there!Grab your rooms now or at least Paddock Passes and stay with us at the Love Shack!!)

Hey,FMJ,Grndskpr and all are welcome! We had plenty of space last year but this one may be different. My suggestion to all interested....The way we pay the $1500 plus cost for these spaces is through Jerry Johnson's Dealership(Pacific Motorsports)for 1 site. Then through the folks of SCAB (Southern California Area Buellers)Nelson and Barbara...(IE:Wonderful People Extraodinaire!) this year payed for site#2 and then the #3 site I put up the money and every meeting we have,OC and SDC,collect money for a 50/50(with Buell stuff donations from American Sport Bike and Dealerships)and that money is donated back to me to help pay me back.SO if your interested in helping maybe you'all could show up to a meeting and buy LOTS of 50/50 tickets! We have never charged people to stay at the site, but donations of snacks and drinks for visitors is always welcome!Last year the Guys from Hal's Racing came over and hung out with us on the Veranda and the year before Tripp Nobles and his Crew chief hung out till the wee hours of the morning and kept us ALL entertained with stories and antics! This particular event is the HIGHLIGHT of our year!Even the people not interested in racing have a phenomenal time here and usually become permanent members of the SCAB at LAGUNA BROTHERHOOD!(SLAB SCABS!!!!)Hope to see you all there and lets Party!!P.S....Another Friday ride of the Famous Santa Cruz Mountains will be laid out but we'll try to keep it under 9 hours this time!

Tickets on order. It's about F.....g time! AMA, FUSA & CCS are cool, but MotoGP gives me chills! The race is a no brainer, but I don't think I can afford the $400 greens fees at Pebble Beach!
