They are based here in Denver. I work a block and a half from them. Nice folks. They used to sell exotic bikes like MZ and Bimotas.

Thing looks like it has 2" of chain slop.

I wonder why the swingarm is so long (helps with traction right?) Seems like you could cut a few inches off of that. The $47,800 does not get you the titanium frame. Other than that I like it, it's so cool to see people out there building bikes like this- even if I cant buy them!

Those pipes have got to keep your right leg pretty warm. I just got my American Iron Buyers guide and saw it in there. I would love to take it up to Daves sportbike night....

Same scenario as on a Buell, the chain tightens as the swingarm moves up (rear suspension compresses).

I think instead of the Honda H2O v-twin thing the Vincent relaunch should have been something like this.

No disrespect to the project but it looks to me like the builder didn't have the resource or knowledge to sort the rear suspension - wheelbase - chain travel. Seems the swingarm pivot has forced the bottom shock mount position further back, thus the over long swingarm and chain. At least the bike will sit level when someone sits on it I guess. Is that frame single down tube? Yuk!

The exhaust looks cheap. What thought went into the routing of the front pipe? You only need to look at a Buell to work out at least a good looking set-up. Speaking of, the seat unit again gives that homemade (cheap) look. Not $50000 in my book. See Confederate for comparison. I could build better out of a parts catalog.

Why do bike makers these days seem to think we want to cook our asses with exhaust cans?

I agree with Sean to a large degree but I can't help liking this kind of bike. OZ wheels, Ohlins, impressive brakes... A slightly different Confederate Hellcat.

Runs at too low an rpm tho. Shoulda based it around a large bore XL engine to shorten the wheel base. Big Twin engines are too heavy and have a longer shaft to shaft distance. The swingarm is fine, gotta keep from getting body slammed when twisting the wick. Ugly exhaust tho.

Other than that, bikes like these are cool to see.

My rear end gets warm enough with the exaust UNDER THE ENGINE. Putting exhausts there is just a poorly-veiled attempt at population control!

And, in my opinion, that thing's fugly as hell and DEFINITELY not worth $50K.

I usually run about 2 inches of chain slop on the S1.

When I sit on it the suspension compresses to the correct tension.

I am with Rocket on that one, it needs to be refined a little more to justify $50,000.00

Up here for $50,000 I could have a Ducati MH900 and an XB12.

I think that amount of slack in the chain is likely needed with that swingarm . . . .the swingarm pivot is way far away from the sprocket -- prolly good launches with that long a swingarm, though - - -

it micht not be how I'd spend 50 large, but it's a whole lot better than I could design and build (smile)

I like the big twin sportsbike idea...I think I'd rather build my own, too, though...

I would rather have a Confederate as well. I like the new Wraith. But I think I am in the minority. Check out ecosse's website to customize one. Looks better with other colors.
