THANK YOU!!!

Dear Santa...

All I want for Christmas is a Diesel KLR. I have been very good. I will leave extra cookies for you and big carrots for the reindeer.

Think of all the greasy black stuff you'll have to clean off your back after every ride...

Dear Santa, while you're at the factory getting a KLR oiler for Das, please pick one up for me too.
I'll put a drop of Scotch in the milk for you.

Hey, I just had a thought, I wonder if it could handle a turbo & intercooler? you could seriously up the gearing if so.
Am I mad? answers on a postcard to the usual address.

Crusty...You're not mad, but you are beginning to concern me. You are sounding more like January than August. If you get my drift. LOL

That wasn't me. That was Mr. Grumpy. We're totally different people. He's the one who lives in that furrin' country; I live in the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts. Besides, I don't want a Kawasaki; Diesel, Gas, blown or otherwise.

Crusty,

When you come here I will let you take the DR650 to the top of Marble Mountain then you can decide on owning an "Urban Assault Vehicle".

I wonder how much it would take to convert the DR to run on Diesel!!!!!

Hey Grumpy - how much time have you got, I bet we can find a large garage in Deer Lake to do the work - then use Marble Mountain as the testing ground!!!!!!

The only question I have is "Will it have a Pull Shock??"

I'll take one also...

I'm one of the few owners of a 94 GMC half ton 6.5 TD, it dependable and at 200K plus runs better than new. I'm not saying GM at that time had a good diesel program, mine is driven daily and has done small amounts of pulling.

The new diesel's are much better than they were just 4 years ago.

Makes sense for a military bike!
