When I was a kid riding my old TS250 I took Dad's tractor out on the back forty and drug the disc around brush piles and piled up ramps for jumps, etc to make my own dirt track. Now I'm a little older and have a much diferent bike and I'm wondering how difficult it would be to build an engineered race track w/ hard surface and banked corners. How long would it have to be? How steep are the banks? Where can I find this kind of information? We have a lot of community enhancement grants available in this part of the country, as well as a lot of motorcycle enthusist(sp?), who would only be too happy to ride a closed course. I think that I could get the money to do it if the cost was less than $250K. (Message edited by rek on August 15, 2004) |
