While a group of us were hanging out at New River H-D/Buell today we met a man with a 2000 M2 Cyclone that he intends on trashing for it's engine and drive line to build a "chopper". This bike only has 375 miles on it so it is virtually brand new. Here's the specs:

2000 M2 Cyclone
375 miles
Yellow
Forcewinder or D&D exhaust system.

I approached him about what it would take to buy the bike from him. His reply was $6000.00
He's going to leave the bike together until November he says.

I can't do it right now so if anyone is interested in rescuing this bike from the clutches of a chopper chimp, contact me and I'll either give you his number or be happy to act as agent for you.

This is for real, this bike is in outstanding shape, much, much too nice to be trashed like this.

The guys a moron. He could buy a stock Sporty motor and do the hop-up and still have some money for his project...unless he bought the M2 really cheap and is lookin' to make some extra $$ by selling to a Buell fan.

The guy is a double moron because he could part the bike on ebay and buy a twin cam motor for his project.

Buell chopper projects...what a joke. Stay clear of the guy, he could be on drugs.

You could "rescue" two for the price of that one.
Go to the dog pound and adopt a Buell today.

ps, you could adopt mine for less than that one as well. ; )

find the gentleman with the M2, tell him i want the bike with no engine. as long as it is a complete rolling chassis, i would love to have it. i have a 1998 xl motor with an 89 inch S&S stroker. this would be a real fun motor for a tube frame, and i always wanted a Ma Deuce. if he can get it to seattle, i will pay the freight to alaska. just need someone trustworthy to make an inspection in seattle, i have some business associates there.

Fullpower,
What are you willing to pay for a complete M2 less the engine? The answer to that question may help you find what you're looking for, not necessarily mine, but there are several M2 chassis assemblies floating about for the right price.

Fullpower. I'll let you know. I started the conversation with this guy by asking if he'd sell me the remains if/when he goes through this. I was just going to store it in the garage for future use but if you have a use for it, so much the better.

That blast chopper is pretty cool, but it is clear they just slapped a normal chopper frame around a blast engine.

If they got creative and did a custom thumper cruiser, maybe relocating the oil tank, and some other bits where the 2nd cylinder would normally be, you could make a very cool very long, incredibly low chopper.

It could be neat...

Dusty,
What year is the engine in the red framed one?
Any idea what the frame is?
And is that an old VL springer?
I've got an old taillight I want to build a bike around someday.

Yep, looks like a 'knuck to me too. I used to have a choppered 1942 FL back in the 1970's. My taillight is off my dad's old bike from the 1950's. We ain't strange, we just follow our own pathways. ; )
