Well,

I will start by posting more pictures later this week but I really could not let this one go.

Yesterday myself, Innes and my friend Mark met up with Mike (IAmike), Don (Ozz666) and Drew (Mike's Son) in Steady Brook, Newfoundland.

We off loaded the bikes with the gear, packed it all into the Saab Convertible (amazing how much crap you can cram into that boot) and started for St. John's which is almost 700km, the boys already had rode about 200km from the boat to Steady Brook.

Drew looked very tired so Mark graciously offered to ride the CBR1100XX Blackbird into St. John's while Drew slept in the back seat of the car. We had left my S1 at a friends place in Gander the previous day so we also had another well rested rider.

We started out riding in the light rain and as we crossed the island the rain was stopping and the sun was coming out.

Somewhere near Springdale about 150km later Mike pulled into a Gas Station as he was very tired, so I put on my leathers and took the S3 while Innes drove my car. Mike and Drew were resting in the back of the car.

I was lead bike with Oz and Mark following on the bikes, Innes was behind them in the car. We were about 100km west of Grand Falls travelling somewhere around 145kph (45kph over the speed limit) when I notice the roof lights of a Cop Car. I immediately apply the brakes HARD and get the S3 down to about 115kph, Oz and Mark do the same. At that time I saw the lights come on and think OH F&*K, we got it now when I look to the left and here is Innes speeding past us. The nut decided to pass us when he saw the cop. He took the hit for the speed.

The bikes kept on going for a couple kilometers while the cop had Innes pulled in. Now, I had the registration and insurance in my wallet, so I thought I better go back and see the cop.

I get back and tell him I was the owner of the car, he checked us out, gave us a stern warning about our speed, seatbelt use and let us GO!!!!!!

As he was sitting in the Cop Car I went over to the window and asked if I could take his picture with the lights flashing and him next to Innes.

He Agreed and here is the picture!!!!!

Cops

More pictures to come later in the week.

Multiply kilometers by 0.625 to get miles.

700 km = 438 miles

Not Yet,

Last week he sent an e-mail as he was supposed to get yesterday's boat.

Seeing I couldn't take any more time off work, I could not stay over another night.

The boys that are here took my convertible (its about 90 degrees here today) and are seeing the sights of St. John's - Oldest City in North America!!!

I am expecting Alex in sometime this evening, Rober (grndspkr) and his friend are also arriving at 8pm this evening in Argentia, NL.

This evening we are going to ride the roads of Conception Bay South and Conception Bay North then blast on over to Dildo, NL (Mike and Ozz want pictures) then onto the Argentia Ferry to greet the others.

I have more pics but don't have the time to post them today.

If anyone knows how to get Alex please tell him to call me. 709-778-4100 is my number.

It wouldn't be a memorable trip without a cop involved. Keep up the good work!

We are very, very, very good CJ!!!

Tonight we are going to my place to BBQ then walk downtown to attend the George Street Festival and of course tonight is the Irish/Newfoundland Traditional Music Night.

Geesh Spidey a real shame you could not attend.

Don't anyone worry we are parking the bikes and getting picked up in my wife's mini-van so we can have a few sociables ,

Please don't call any of us too early tomorrow morning could have a heavy head.
