Wyked...Most of us enjoy a little cultural exchange every now and then. It either gives us conviction or makes us want to get the hell out of here. LOL

You people in Wisconsin should really take in the Springfield Mile this Labor Day weekend. It isn't that far; I think it's about five hours from Milwaukee. And I bet you'll find it to be one of the most exciting races you've ever been to. If you've never been to Springfield, you have no idea what you're missing.

I went to Del Mar back in '98. While all Mile racing is exciting, there's a reason why Springfield is called The Mile. In 20 years of going to Springfield, I've never seen a dull race. Even Rob Muzzi stated that for spectating, nothing beat a Mile.

That is an accurate statement.

Not sure I can tell you HOW....I a CERTAIN I can tell you how NOT to.

I tried to learn following Erik Buell on a winding road in Wisconsin. I advise against that.

The top picture was taken at Sacramento. It was at a party, the previous evening at Armando Magri's with Bill St. Clair, Scotty Parker and Mike Patterson, that someone took me in the back room..."hey, ya gotta come see what a kid who used to work for Harley built".

Nope.....I jumped a flight, flew to MKE, rented a car and set out in search of Road "X".

For the record, EVERY ROAD IN WISCONSIN, not unlike the elusive algebraic variable, is known as "Road X".

but Road X leads to you Piper, which leads to Town Line, which will, eventually, and with proper wanderlust, get ya to the intersection of Hogsback and St Augustine . . . . .

good fun
