I work 3rd shift and when I came out of work this morning I put all my gear on and hopped on the m2 I reached down to unlock my stearing head (handlebars) and my key would not fit?? After about 1 min or so of trying to finagle it, I jumped of my bike and noticed that they key way was not at a 90 degree angle as it would be if it was locked or unlocked it was in the middle. My key would not fit!!! I thought for sure somebody had messed with it but after reviewing the security tapes no one came near it.. I had the local buell shop pick it up but I haven't heard from them yet. Anyone else have any thing like it? It was still locked that's why I had the shop pick it up. |

I know that the gas caps do that quite a bit (at least mine does) so there is an easy fix for that Barrel Key thing. Grind the little tab off the outer edge of you key. This is the keeper and does nothing more than keep your key in while it is turned. The best bart is you can take your key out after you turn the ignition on and put it in your pocket so you no longer hear the little clinking sound of your keys as you ride, plus no more scratches!! Works every time and no need to send it to the dealer!!

Thanks a bunch! Maybe I can get to the dealer in time before they charge me a bunch of money to fix it. |
