I don't know enough about the owners of either company to make any smart comments, but anything that keeps Aprilia going is good in my book. : )

Didn't Ducati already make a big cash infusion for Aprilia back in the late 80's early 90's? Gave them something like a 10% ownership or something like that?

Moto-mags say Ducati's goal is to get Moto Guzzi for a fair price then sell off the rest, Aprilia going to Rotax, maybe and scooter div. to Piaggio. Good thing for Moto-Guzzi, not so clear what will become of Aprilia.

I'm not sure there are any Texans involve3d. Did not TPG pull out of Ducati a while back?

I stand corrected.

.....TPG, as far as I know, owns Ducati. Pretty much lock, stock and barrel.
