I received a cool email from Buell today. For those of you not on the mailing list, here's the "letter":

"Just a note from all of us here in East Troy, Wisconsin, USA wishing you a happy,
memorable and safe 4th of July. No matter how you're celebrating this weekend, we
hope you'll join us in taking a moment to remember how fortunate we are to live in
a country where we can think, speak and act freely. A country where we cherish our
independence and the freedom to go our own way. It's core to everything
we believe here at Buell Motorcycle Company.

So join us as we salute those men and women carrying the flag in that parade.
They represent a lot."

50$ gift cert is sneaky though, not much you can get other than a couple t-shirts (which i got with my new M2) unless you spend your own money on top of that 50 to get something else, and spending your own money is exactly what they want.

Nicest little surprise came by way of BMW shortly after SoCal burnt down from the firestorms last year. BMW Finance Corp sent out a letter that expressed concern and sentiments about losses and possible financial difficulties to home owners. They waived the payments on the bike for a few months with no penalties or subsequent bad credit ratings.

Did not need to take advantage of it, but it was a generous offer.

Being a Vet and having two older brothers in Iraq (they're Navy SEALS), anytime I see, hear, or read anything patriotic like that, always makes me happy. I appreciated Buell sending me that when they didn’t have to.

When I bought my XB9S, my dealer gave me 4% credit based off from what I bought the bike for. That equates to about $360. (paid $9000 with the 7yr warranty).

I thought the same thing as others here...

"I bet the YamaHonaKawazuki dealers didn't send out anything like this to their peoples..."

Good on Buell. Class is the word for sure!

it's one of the bennies for having bought american, and from a small factory, which, of course, means you're part of a relatively small group of customers/friends/people who matter . . . .

don't know if HD did anything similar, doesn't matter . . . .. it was a class move, and added to my satisfaction of being a buell owner
