That reminds me of a joke, maybe not pc but what joke is these days. There was a Australian Aboriginal sitting on top of Ayres Rock partying and singing with his tribe when this space ship appears overhead,The alien was going to perform an experiment on him and zapped away 1/2 his brain cells, and there was no difference in his behaviour, so he zapped away the remaining 1/2 of his brain and he startet singing Ka mate! Ka mate! Ka ora! Ka ora!
Ka mate! Ka mate! Ka ora! Ka ora!

What's an Aussie doin' posting (Kiwi) Maori Hakas on a Buell board? Is there no justice in the world?

Next thing you know, they'll be importing that Fosters crap here...<doh!>

Actually, I think it's what a Bueller might welcome an R1 rider with as he approached the Marae.

Haere Ra.

Buellfool is actually a Kiwi that misses the road from Wellington to Waiarapa over the Rimatuka Ranges.

I wish Americans were as respectful with their First Nations as Kiwis are with the Maori. Or am I mistaken? I saw "Once Were Warriors," pretty grim at times.

I honestly think that there is a bit of racial tension everywhere in the world. It's just a case of people being different and maybe not trusting people that are different until they get to know each other.

As for Once were Warriors, it's about as factual as the Simpsons.

Sorry mate (Buellfool) -- your profile said you were from Melbourne! Doh!

I grew up in both Langholm and then Taharoa, on the left coast of the North Island, a couple of hours from the Waitomo caves -- woke up to views of Mt. Egmont each day.

Just having a dig, no harm caused I hope. However, why would you want to go and muck things up by moving to Australia? (assuming, of course, your profile is accurate.)

Er, the Maori are in no way treated equitably by the (minority) anglos in New Zealand. In fact, the pakeha (British in particular) were battled to a stand-still by the club and spear-wielding Maori and ultimately signed a treaty (in which the Maori were SCREWED) to avoid further embarassment and loss at the hands of the so-called "savages."

Like Buellfool alluded, don't believe everything you see on TV (or read on the Internet.)

My sister and I were the only whites in our entire village and since we were kids, we knew nothing of racism and we were welcomed with open arms and open hearts.)

No offense taken Barkandbite. Now I know what it means in your profile...

Country: The Best there is.

I spent a couple of years in London where everybody thinks that you are an Australian, kinda like Canadians being thought of as Americans or Scottish as English.

Still If did not think Australia was a great place I would not be here. The only thing I miss are the great bike roads, which is pretty much every road in the country apart from the few motorways.
