Who's got em, and how come there is such a differences on prices on such simular bikes - same cc, power, yet there can be some big difs in price. They look like a lot of fun! Has any one got tracks devoted to them? Just curious because of all the attention they are getting in the news lately. Looks cool - how big a sport/hobby is it turning out to be? Will we see Malibu Grand Prix for pocket bikes soon, or mini tracks - where you can rent track time and run your bike? Just curious, because I know they've been around a while now, but prices have really dropped and everyone is zipping along illeagally here in SF on them - lol GT - JBOTD! EZ |

From my understanding they have been popular in Europe for some time now. Supposedly pocket bikes provide a solid foundation for racing careers. Riders like Rossi began with that class and gradually moved up through the ranks. I'm with you I don't really know ish about 'em... But they sure look fun!

They do a 50cc "Rally" every year @ TWO WHEELS ONLY MOTORCYCLE RESORT in Suches, Georgia. It's really just a Pocket Bike race through the best roads in the country! |

Try the Oregon/NW front of the local Badweb. A former Buell dude, now triumph owner, has a son who raced them and has now moved up in bike size. Cody Wood is the young pilot. |

Yeah - I've seen those racing - pretty cool stuff - the cart guy is doing acrobatics to help the turns - lol - stuff that would make Circus De Olea proud! Heck I've seen some pocket bikes that cost 3 G and others for 150 - what would be recommended for fun and reliability - I hate the idea of a throw away. So Rossi was sliding tires on one of these? Cool - lol - I've still got that picture of Erik somewhere on one as well. Damn - can't find it - anyone else still have it who could post it - so I can re add it to my collection - lol - the tech for these bikes is just wild! - Stearing dampers? - lol GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

I just got an email from a new local pocket bike place. I've seen the Chinese models, not bad for the price. Here's a link to the main web site. http://corsamoto.com/

Man I want one of these also.. Gonna think about trying to pick one up soon. I think I wanna go the mini-bike route though.. They are the same engine size and everything but a bit bigger in scale.. |

Toys R Us is selling a Honda branded pocket bike and Walmart is selling a Razor pocket bike. Both are electric and sub $200. Go about 10-15 mph depending on weight of rider. Not as fast, but no gas fuss or muss. |

Beware the Chinese copies...... They have invaded the market over here and we have had loads of people trying to get spares for them from us. The problem is that no spares are available for them, so once they break (and they will!) The Blata bikes are a different kettle of fish altogether, as everything is available off the shelf. They have just released some new 4.2hp pukka race models in works replica colours that are superb. I'll post some pics soon! |

Yeah - those things are a blast - nothing like riding like Rossi with the front sliding into those fast 20 mph sweepers... |
