Cost of a great room at Lake Lawn for three nights (shared with friends) - $151.53
Fuel costs (Thursday - Sunday) - $38.70 - 946 miles
Watching Mike Cicotto save a scary low side right in front of us in turn 8 - PRICELESS!!

What a great event!!!!!!

My friend who sells Yamaha, Honda and Triumph called me last night to see how the trip went and all he could say is "Erik Buell runs a great company. Nobody else gets to hang out with the CEO like you guys!"

BoomerM2, IaMike, his son and I had a great time, heck I probably ate $75.00 worth of food let alone all the other stuff!! (Like running 5 laps at Road America)

Congrats to Peggy and Mary for setting this up!!
Thanks to Leslie for paving the way and Erik for being so much a part of every event.
As has been mentioned it was great that Mike Cicotto and Michael Barns were available for photos and autographs and how about Shawn Higbee coming up to sit with our group after SuperStock practice.

It was great to meet and get reaquainted with several of the BadWeb guys and gals, hope everyone had a save trip home.

Back to the real world : (.

I know somebody will go back and say I was one of the people pitching a fit about the price. Let me start by saying: I'm wrong.

Now that I have that out of the way....it was a great week. Other than some Buell gremlins, it couldn't have been much better. The riding was fun and spirited. The food was good. The friends even better!

As for the gremlins...looks like Marilyn will be out for some time. I'm not exactly sure but I think it was a main shaft seal. The primary was puking some serious fluids and the oil level was dropping. My S3 is also experiencing a few problems (but nothing too serious). I blew the seal on the compression fork. And the front rotor is finally starting the infamous Buell rattle.

I forgot to charge the battery on my digital camera. Hopefully, I'll be able to post some pictures tomorrow.

Dennis

Thanks everyone for making my first Buell event great. It will definitely not be my last. Made some great friends, Mike, Norbert, Sarah, Aaron, CJ, Curt, Cindy, Lynn, Jeff, Keef, Richie, Roger, Nancy, Al, Bubba (in person). Sorry I left anyone out. If things work out, I'd like to be Runnin' the Ridge in Sept. I hear the Fontana Campground is the spot. C ya, Chad

Did anybody get a pic of the crusier XBS with the hard bags mounted on it? Wisc. plates, the owner (I didn't get his name) was heading off to join in with Americade and left Ukes early Friday afternoon. Just wondering if this/his was the bike Dyna saw running around a few weeks ago. Largish windscreen, forward mount highway pegs, large saddlebags, for his height it seemed setup well for his use of it.

Oh well, more pics will probably be posted as people begin to get home.

The bike I saw had the stock XBS windscreen on it. Dana told me about the bike at Ukes but I never saw it. Can certainly tell you from the discription tho that its not the one I saw.

Okay, curious if it had the same bag setup though. Will have to wait for pics to be posted. The guy said the factory folks were crawling all over his bike when they saw it.

Well I had a GREAT time at the Bring it Home Buell event, wouldn't have missed it !!!

Guess it's time for me to post my pics !! Of course there were some that couldn't be posted, such as the ones after the bonfire when we all went to the Karaoke (sp?) bar ! LOL

Some of us got the idea that tequila shots would be fun, and Kinger is right that was a LATE night !!

Here's a pic of Bubba and Paula's arrival at Lakelawn, there were so happy to be there !!

Here's a group photo of the dinner there, left to right sitting then standing were Curt (aka cream puff), Marsha, fieryxb, keef and richie from the KC mob, grape, skeeterxb, and CJ !

This pic is of the girls on the ride up to Sauk for a very quick lunch, since we got so far behind !!

Bomber and Roger enjoying the cream puffs that were offered at the square in East Troy, mmmmm they were so good !!

After b-trax everyone headed to Lakelawn for the dinner and bonfire !

This is where kinger pulled his bike into the tent and everyone tried to help him figure out why his bike would die everytime his wife Sara got on !!

Took a while, but finally Keef from the KC mob, to the right of the bike getting a look at it, figured out the problem, it was fixed and Sara and Kinger would good to go after that !!

Another group photo at the races !!

Grape and Lynne at the races !

Group bike photo L to R, keef, richie,cj, lynn, buellracer29, curt, skeeterxb, kinger and fieryxb !

I really enjoyed riding with this group, we had a large time !!

One last bonfire pic of buellracer29 and Lynn of Docs Rolling Thunder club ! I met them last year and had so much fun seeing them again this year !!

Okay, I'm done !!!

Thanks Cj for making me cry at work!!!

Not only do I live in the outer limits, my bike has been out of commission for two weeks, going on forever...

I miss being part of the crowd... but I guess this job up here beats the snot out of forfeiting on my bike loan...

WHERE DID ALL THAT HAIR ON BUBBA'S HEAD COME FROM!?!

Hope to be riding again soon by Saturday....

Hello all,

Thanks for posting all the pictures.

Enjoyed myself the entire time (well, maybe not so much coming back from Sauk and the speed we were going when I had a numb foot). Anyway, met a bunch of great people, had great food and great times. And the weather totally rocked!

Great shots, I finally got some of mine ready for y'all:

Here we go.

Wednesday Linda and I decided to skip the Battletrax and go do the tourist thing around Milwaukee, so we went to Capitol Drive to see the Buell/Sporty engines being assembled. No pictures allowed inside but I got a couple of shots out of it:

144
148

After that we went down the Road to the Miller Factory and did that tour (we DID NOT drink the three free beer samples that we could have...)

160
161

From there we went further downtown and bought some sausages at Usinger's and some Wisconsin Cheeses.

We rode around Milwaukee some more and managed to find Juneau Avenue and got a cool shot out of that:

166

We got back to Lake Lawn too late for the Battletrax, but I did some practice laps anyway to get ready for Friday's event at Uke's.

We headed for dinner and took some pictures:

Wednesday morning we headed for Hal's, the best Buell dealer I have ever seen in terms of floor display, service department and the Speed shop out back where the magic happens on Mike Ciccotto's and Dan Bilanski's Road Race bikes and Tom Bradford's drag bikes.

Great food, good turn out.

First I found Bomber (Jonh R.) fixing his own rocker box gaskets

175

Inside the dealer I found the following Firebolt, it would be cool if they sold it like this from the factory:

185

In the service department, I ran into Dan Bilanski again and talked to him a bit. I had met him the previous weekend at the FUSA event at Summit Point, WV.

In this Picture he's race prepping Sam Rozynsky's FUSA Firebolt.

186
Notice the tape measure in the lower right corner. It would come in handy as there was the following engine sitting not to far away outside it's frame:

187

It's not that much bigger than the XB engine.....

XB Race Engine
188a
Interesting VIN number, eh?
188b
The official Hal's Chain Drive conversion kit
188d
Tom Bradford's new V-Rod Drag bike
