I'll be heading to the bakery for where I come from (Racine,Wi.) famous Kringle.I should be picking up between 6 and 7 Kringles to go with coffee for the morning at Uke's.To you that were here when the Elves were here or during the 20th got to try it.

I just got another letter from BRAG today. It says there is going to be "a favorite local Wisconsin dessert" served Thursday evening. Is that Kringles?

I'm already about 90% packed and I'm not even leaving until Thursday morning! It's going to be nice to get on the open road. I've only put on about 900 miles this year and haven't even left the Twin Cities metro area.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll look for you or Peggy at Sauk. I'll be on a blue M2 with a sleeping bag strapped to a Ventura rack.

Bads1,
I just thought it was weird that they said "a favorite local Wisconsin dessert". I mean, what could it be, ice cream? Maybe it will be Racine Kringle.

Favorite Wisconsin Dessert = New York Cheesecake, or perhaps something else made from a dairy cow.

The only other alternatives are Brats, Beer and Sauerkraut and none of those make a good dessert. Well, on second thought, the beer ain't bad especially if dinner was. LOL

If it is Kringle, y'all are in for a great treat!

Its turning into tradition for me I guess Bill. The Buells come and I go to O&H Bakery. The only Kringle I still need to know if I need to buy is a bean kringle for Court. He still hasn't answered if he's coming or not.But then again it might be a bad idea cause he'd eat it Friday morning at Uke's then who'd want to be standing anywhere near him Friday night at the going away party at Lake Lawn especially with a Bon fire.

...bummed is the word...I live right here, but thanks to the new job (less than two weeks old), I truly doubt i'll get time off to have any fun...have some of the O&H for me....if the Thursday night 'desserts' just say Racine Kringle on them...you may want to take a pass...those arent true kringle from a bakery...mass produced sugar bread....

That is one screwy off ramp, you need a head that completely swivels like a damn owl in order to see if someone is coming down the ramp at 80mph.

Well day one is in the bag. We got there late, due to some delays and miscalculation of how long it would take to get to Lake Lawn.
Got there just in time to miss lunch!
Watched the finals for the BTX, talked with Al from American Sport Bike,Kyle,Buellidan,Bubba,Reg,Rex,Jose, and a bunch of others.
Pretty good turn out for the first day.
Today it's off to Sauk to meet up with the Iowa Farm Mafia guys and M2me. Then back to East Troy.

Day two was even better than day one.
I'm not even going to try to name everyone there as to not leave anyone out(sorry Bad and Naughty)
We left Appleton, finally, after putting a new tire on Jeff's XB and sending Lake back to Green Bay in my Expedition to get his S3. His S1 is having oil "issues" so about an hour and a half late, we got going to Sauk.
We must have made pretty good time because we only ended up an hour late getting there!
Sauk had a great lunch set up for us, the cookies rocked! We stayed there for about an hour or so and then blazed to East Troy to the factory. What a sight! The parking area was full of Buells and Buell riders.
I couldn't resist, riding a 2nd gear wheelie past the building when we got there!
I confirmed that Gearhead and I are truly "twin brothers, separated at birth" it was warm enough for both of us to take off our long sleeve shirts we'd been wearing all day, so there we were, both in lace up boots,Vanson pants and Hoban Brothers Racing shirts. It was too funny, you had to be there.
In usual Buell style, they had a spread set up for us to graze on and they even had Diet Pepsi for me(OK, not just for me but they had it just the same).
We then got a police escort by no other than a cop Buell to the town square. We had the square pretty much surrounded! Got the group photo taken and then were treated to yes, more food, Wisconsin creme puffs. I didn't have one but if you like creme puffs they looked great.
I took off about 7 to ride back to Appleton by myself. Got to my apartment about 9:30.
Tomorrow it's off to Uke's for BTX and then back to Lake Lawn for the farewell dinner.

I feel bad for those of you that chose not to come or couldn't make it!
Maybe next year!

Ride to the edge!
Dave

Daves...Thanks for the update. Wish I could have been there. It sounds like it was the best ever gathering.

Cream Puffs...The Wisconsin Dessert...Ewww!

Never heard of them as a kid here, but when I returned 30 years later they were the big rage. Finally tried one last summer at the State Fair and it was love at first bite. Downside was I had to cut myself off and promised to never have another. Failure to do so would result in a Goodyear Blimp physique. LOL

Trust me, Dana's Kringle is much better for your health! Then again a Food Fight with Creme Puffs would be a lot more fun!!!
