Isn't that Jones? I know he's used Harleys in his shows before. |

I think it's Rainer Schwarz. Kind of Craig's counterpart in Germany. Haven't seen Rainer perform, but I have picked up some mags and merchandise with pictures of him when I was in Germany. To see more ===> www.stunt-s.de 1313 |

What is it with Germans & V-Rods? The sole V-Rod in my last Experienced Rider Course was German-operated. Michael Shumacher (F1) apparently has several (see the latest H-D promo mag). Is the V-Rod the David Hasselhoff of American motorcycles over there? |

Porsche helped with the engineering of the motor...maybe it makes the bike feel 1/2 German! |

they look goofy, but every one that rides should once in their life run a v rod up to 9000 rpm in fourth gear, and slam 5th at full throttle. they are still pulling hard at 130 MPH. i dont feel the need to own one, but a test flogging is a bunch of fun. |

now stick that motor in a compact aluminum frame, put some sticky 17 inch rubber on, keep the weight down to around 450 pounds and i WILL BUY ONE. any body at the factory listening? i am putting my order in NOW. |

A "streetfighter" version of the V-Rod works for me too. I saw Cycle Vision's "Road Glide" version and I liked it ,too. You can keep the one's they are selling now, but they are fun to ride, if the cops aren't around. AL |

The motor still does not match any of the high perf V2 designs out there from KTM, Duc, Aprilla, etc... The new KTM twin 1000 is a jewel - 58 KG (about 125 lbs)and revs to 11G with 125 HP and ~75 ftlbs across a flat torque curve. Sure the V rod has a nice plant but the weight will kill it against these types of plants... I'm still going for the Duke II 990 when it comes out in 2005! Until then the XB12S will suffice. |
