I just wanted to share my own Buell experience, I first fell in love with Buell's back in '85 when I saw my first 1000RR but it was way out of my price range so I opted to buy a Yamaha Vmax instead. So several motorcycles later I decided in '98 to try a Buell again and the I demoed a S1, I liked the bike a lot but it still was a little to crude of a riding experience for me. Then in the Spring of '99 a brand new Suzuki hit the market it was called a Hayabusa in a weird way it reminded me of a 1000RR that I saw 14yrs prior. So I bought the Bike and Was happy with it, until last fall I had to sell it do to Job lay off etc..Well one week ago to the day, I stopped by to visit a friend of mine who works at a motorcycle dealership and I asked him If I could ride that lightning that I was eyeballing on the showroom floor. He rolled the bike out and I sat on it to get oriented with the seating position controls,etc... The very first thing I noticed was when I was looking straight ahead, I didn't see any part of the bike below me, very different than what I was use too. Well I hopped on the bike and gave her hell. Is it a Rocket ship like the Hayabusa, NO. Was it Smooth like the Busa? Not even close. Was it the most fun I've ever had on a Motorcycle? A big hands down YES! It is a great machine, Buell has come a long way. The shifting was much smoother, The acceleration was chaotic in a great way! The whole riding experience was a absolute pleasure would it be comfortable on a long trip? I don't care. The Buell XB12 Lightning is the Next Bike for me!!

I own a 9s and yes, it is very comfortable on long trips. It's not uncommon for me to log 3-400 mile days on it and I'm still fresh enough for more. Oh yeah, one other thing, riding an XB just gets funner each time you ride. Bar none, the most "fun" bike one can own.

Bads1... This coming weekend I will be down in Elkhart lake for Superbike Races. But not with a Buell because of layoff, my credit went a little sour, but I'm starting old job back on Tuesday so things are looking up.
