Just wondering if anyone has put a side car onto a Buell or if anyone has even heard of such a thing. Is it even possible? |

This was brought up a long time ago..may have been another board & nobody was able to produce any pics or had ever heard of it being done. |

What about a tour-pak? Like what the H-D Ultras have? |

There's a Blast picture in the Thumper section and picture archives that has a sidecar on it. It's the type that is used for racing, but it's more proof that it can be done. |

Here is an S1 with a sidecar. It is posted on a Netherlands Buell site. Unfortunately ther eis no technical info, just the picture. To see for yourself, go to http://www.pitt-biull.com/canvas.html?photofr.html&2 and look in the Galerie. 1313 |

WOW! Unless one is trying to find a way to ride while dealing with a physical handicap which would prevent riding a single-track vehicle, WHY? A sidecar on a Buell is the definition of an oxymoron. Although - it does align with the "Different in every sense" motto! Doughnut - can you elaborate on the purpose for the sidecar idea? AL |

Leftie, if you'd ever ridden with a chair you wouldn't be asking why Rocket |

Rocket - Ya gotta point there! the only times I've experienced sidecars was once as a passenger, which was terrifying, especially when I realized the rider was at least as, if not more, "alchoholically impaired" than I. The other was when I rode a rig owned by a friend which was a '47 FL (knucklehead H-D) with a '37 car, 12" extended springer fork with 10 degree additional rake in the frame, hand shift, no front brake. That was like Russian Roulette, but with 3 rounds. Would all the engineering and R&D that's gone into the handling geometry of the Buell be put to waste by a sidecar, or would it enhance the ride? Sidecar riders seem to be even more, shall we say "non-conformative" than your typical Buell rider. AL |
